They must have 35 monitors plugged in watching every single league, somehow have an opinion on every single player we're linked with.

Gotta hope that we can keep him which might not be easy if he continues like this. Watched the game yesterday with my friend who worked for Spurs. We both thought the same. I honestly think if he was a yard quicker — not that he’s slow — he’d be at a higher profile club already.
yea give it a year at this rate and madrid are going to come calling. i think his pace is fine. it sort of suits his technique. he was at juventus, thats a pretty high profile club lol...not many bigger than them

I noticed in the Leeds game that he's been cutting in a lot less and just driving into the box with his right foot. Clearly something he's been working on.

Last season his cut inside routine sometimes limited his output.
Indeed it did. It still helps if the Defender thinks he will cut in but he has definitely worked on going outside this season. Of course the slight ambiguity over it gives him more space to cut inside and get a shot away.

The one really positive aspect of this season is the progressive improvement of several Paratici signings. Obviously Royal has been an underwhelming signing but Romero, Kulusevski, Perisic and Bentancur are all of the pedigree Spurs need and along with Son and Kane can be relied upon. Richarlison and Bissouma could eventually reach the same levels based on what we have seen in patches too.

It gives me hope and I believe Paratici has done as much as he could have done with the resources used obtaining these players. He deserves to be given the opportunity to add a few more in January.

I agree with other parts but... Romero?

I personally am bit worried regarding Cuti.
He has been missing almost half of the games... AGAIN.
And he has been making some quite avoidable mistakes on top of it.
Last season I do not remember that bad mistakes and assumed that injury issues were related to the lack of preseason / injury he came with... but now there are huge question marks about his ability to consistently stay available for us when we need him.

Trips last season at spurs was a disaster. If he was kept around after that it would have been the equivalent of Conte starting Royal after the World Cup…
I disagree. I remember that time- not all of us thought Trippier was playing poorly. IMO he got targeted for size a few times and was wrongly slagged off for it. That's just part of the game- sometimes you are a smaller, more mobile fullback facing a very tall/strong winger, and need help from your teammates. I wish we'd have kept him then.

If you don’t watch him and recognize and intelligent footballer, you don’t know what an intelligent footballer is.

When he was injured, Many people on here were saying how we missed him and many others were saying those people were overrating him and he’d been benched (ignoring that it was wrongly) earlier in the season, yada yada.

He’s a baller. He has off games now and then like every player but 80% of the time he makes a difference in our attack.
