Not "happy", just "resigned" to it. I just can't be bothered getting worked up about things which are unlikely to change. We're stuck with them for the forseeable ... I just find it a little bit odd that people are actually happy about that.
The Fighting Cock is a forum for fans of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Here you can discuss Spurs latest matches, our squad, tactics and any transfer news surrounding the club. Registration gives you access to all our forums (including 'Off Topic' discussion) and removes most of the adverts (you can remove them all via an account upgrade). You're here now, you might as well...

And fans moaning about which players start or which formation were gonna use isn’t going to change what Conte does. What’s the point in anything on this forum thenYes but the point is if you want ENIC out you need a Multi-billionaire to buy us. In the 90s it was easier for some local self made millionaire to buy a club and inject funds. These days those multi-millionaires will bankrupt themselves just buying a couple of years of Premium Memberships.
The number of available buyers is a small pool, and they need to be willing to buy us in the first place. Shouting "ENIC out" does nothing. It's not like Levy can walk up and down the High Road asking in the local boozers if anyone wants a second hand football club. And that's why I can't spend that much energy being all worked up on "ENIC out".

For me, trying to build the club in “the right way” was a source of pride. Our success comes from patiently building over the long term from our own good decision making. Mirrors what Conte is saying really.
We can’t control what other clubs are doing and it is frustrating when Chelsea, Man City and now Newcastle come in and change the reality in an unfair way. Without them we’d have won a lot more under ENIC.
But I don’t really see us as having a choice. Not one I want anyway. I don’t want a buccaneering guy from the states or a dirty sports washer. I’d trade 10 league titles in for nothing if that’s the price. I’m happy with our homegrown and imperfect Levy. (Which is not the same as thinking he’s beyond reproach - he’s not).
This is about who we are and how we see ourself.

So basically any way in which fans are voicing their opinion you’re discrediting? You’re saying this forum isnt reflective, Twitter isn’t reflective. What is reflective of what most spurs fans think then? There were loud and clear levy out chants at our last home game and expect to hear more away at palace tonight. Do they count or is that jus the loud voice of the few againEntitled to your opinion. And I can see you feel this way if all your Spurs mates want ENIC Out. mine are a mix, but mainly couldn’t care less who owns us.
And I don’t go near Twitter: but wouldn’t base anything on the noise of the disaffected few. The unhappy shout so much louder and longer than the happy, so I’d expect Twitter and any other online platform to be angry.
And it’s far from conclusive. Most of us twist and turn depending on the last result or signing. Same will happen again if we start to perform or make a decent signing.

If you think that’s funny, you should listen to what fans of 90% of the football pyramid have to say. Including many about us and our position of privilege.Lifetime award for services to comedy and performing arts goes to this fella![]()
Genuine question for everybody ;I think we'd have a decent pool ready to buy us, although we'd probably be overpriced.

Genuine question for everybody ;
Does anyone actually know what the club is worth ?
Is it really overpriced ?
Is it underpriced ?
I , honestly, have absolutely no idea.

Did you read my post or are you just venting? Most of those fans would laugh in your face & tell you to fucking do one if you asked them to pay the ticket prices Spurs fans do.
They'd then tell you to double fuck off if the chairman said it was a "privilege" to go and watch your team play for said price.
People can accept shit football. They can't accept shit football, no trophies, sky-high ticket prices & feeling like they're just a cash cow.
Do you have anything useful to say?Lifetime award for services to comedy and performing arts goes to this fella![]()

I think that's always been the case though.I meant more overpriced in terms of the market for people wanting to buy football clubs. Usually the aim is buy at a low price ala Liverpool/Newcastle/City etc and then invest money to boost their revenue.
I have no idea exactly how much, but we'd cost a lot. To the point where we'd put off buyers as we're not attractive for that model.
I think that's always been the case though.
Hence Abramovich buying Chelsea and not us.
Same with Newcastle.
Same with City.
Why would anybody pay 3 billion for a club and spend a further billion on players when you can buy an Everton (or similar) for a fraction of the price.
Point is that all takeovers by oil people have always been of yo yo clubs, or clubs struggling at the bottom of the table.
Anyone thinking about buying Spurs would have to continue with the NFL project. That surely rules out oil money and limits us to US investors.I think that's always been the case though.

I'm not sure that, given our prices that we are "privileged" , with the poor return we receive. If you think that’s funny, you should listen to what fans of 90% of the football pyramid have to say. Including many about us and our position of privilege.
