Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

23 games in, Spurs have now lost more than a third of all PL games played.

We also play some of the shittest football imaginable.

We continue with 3 CB's despite this undoubtedly being the weakest part of the squad.

Only five teams have conceded more goals than us. One of those teams we lost 4-1 to yesterday.

Our manager has continually refused to commit to the club, and it's now a well known fact he's off in 3 months.

If you're 'Conte in', I can't help you.

Well put.

You also forgot the point about how we treat our future players - in Sarr, Gil, Spece and Skipp. ALL of them have been fucked over properly.

And you forgot that while people scream out for us backing the manager, they tend to forget how incredibly little we have got out of the players signed in Forster, Perisic, Lenglet, Bissouma, Richie and Spence.

But I think worst of all thing is that - there is no fucking plan and progress and direction whatsoever.
We float in the sea of shit with young promising players shipped out and current players not interested in fighting for Conte.

Thats why I said than "most".

Potter is throw in during mid-season and then over-flooded with new signings.
No manager would shine in that situation either. Owner is playing football manager, I am starting to feel that managers position as such is bit of annoyance for him.

I agree - Klopp and Pool are suffering during this season.
Though this season Liverpool net spend is 56 mil. Ours is 140. Almost 3x more. What is your fucking point here?

But on another scale you can put at least 10 managers who are doing more considering the resources than Conte. And most of them don't earn 15 mil per season.

My fucking point is that blaming the manager doesn't fix the problems at Spurs.

How come we played so well in the home game against City?

Turning in to a small club, where we raise our game for those games?
Subconscious confidence through repeatedly winning this game?
Conte not there?
City not at it?
Combination of all of the above?

Why would he come back early after having his fucking gallbladder removed if he wanted the sack?
Probably left his phone in his hotel room and wanted to check his emails.

He's not trying to get sacked, he clearly has drive and winning mentality. He probably should've stayed off work longer though.
His problem is sticking rigidly to the same system that MUCH more often than not totally fails to get the best out of the players. Plus late substitutions and weird selection choices.

Would anyone in their right mind pick Tanganga for a premier league football match? Over Sanchez?
Sanchez ain't great, but he's a full international footballer with a lot of games under his belt. Tanganga is fucking useless. And he's fucking useless next to another useless CB that simply refuses to tackle anyone.
Would anyone in their right mind keep persisting with Son? He's so bad our entire performances are suffering because of it. We have 2 very useful alternatives getting the fucking hump sat on the bench watching balls bounce off of Son every game.
Would anyone in their right mind see what happened after we took the lead and not making a single fucking change for 80 fucking minutes?

Conte probably turned up for work because his prick of a chairman probably told him he wouldn't get
paid.

There are only 2 excuses for Conte's performance on Saturday. He want's the sack or he's lost his fucking mind. As it was terrible and HE has to take the brunt of that blame.

It not even like his pre-season yielded any kind of results either.

On an unrelated note, imagine this twat gave Skipp and Sarr proper minutes before now. We wouldn't be in a situation where they're expected to start the biggest game of their lives without any real build up.

I have faith in them, but it's still a terrible position for them to be in.

Again, it is even worse than you suggested.

Sarr GOT his minutes. And did fucking well!
Did this matter? As soon as any of the favourite players came back, they were picked without an exception again and youngsters frozen out again.

I get that players (specially young lads) have to keep their head down and work. But if Sarr would refuse to play after taking all that shit from Conte, I couldn't even be mad. That is no way to treat human beings. And we all know that in our professional life, pretty much ALL of us would quit such a "boss" as soon as any alternative option would come up.

It's not about goals conceded. The issue is that most of these ones that let Poch, Jose,Nuno and Conte down are still here. This lot are uncoachable

Our chairman sets a pittance of a budget for windows. Budgets inlncude wages before the ENIC wankbois try to claim we do spend money.

This is why we sign players from mid table and bottom half clubs and top teams sign players from title winning teams.

There are no excuses for any performance by any Spurs player or member of staff on Saturday.

Conte's commitment to the job isn't a question. He maybe should have been less committed and let Stellini continue for another game. Clearly wasn't properly at it.

We can’t keep spending money backing managers just to sack them, that’s how you end up with with a mess of a squad. We need to see this through, overhaul our defence over the summer, and see how it goes. Provided he actually wants to stay, of course.
Conte is off come end of the season. he has clearly checked out. Let him go now and get poch back. Can't possibly be more insufferable than this shit.
I'd like him and the club to agree for him to stay until the end of the season whilst we make proper fucking arrangements for the next manager behind the scenes. Not sack him this week and then ring round all the houses to see who's available.

Why wait more?
To enjoy one of the worst defensive performances multiple times a week?

In 18 past games we have conceded 30 goals. 1,66 goals for such a long run.
But that is still flattering, cause we played lower league sides that yielded in two clean sheets.
In EPL 25 goals conceded over 13 games. Still 2 goals per game. That is fucking shocking.

It just shows that he is not equipped to work with any of these players.
We cannot change every single member of our 25-man squad.

So let's change that clueless idiot who has no answers, no ideas for change. Who puts 90% of the effort to come up with pathetic excuses.

And a manager who isn't willing to work out a system that gets the best out of them.

A good coach would look at what he has and figure out the best system to suit the players. Instead of ramming square pegs into round holes.

If we aren't the best in defence then maybe the smart move is to actively defend further up the pitch so as to not expose the defence too much. But that is probably too revolutionary for Conte.

He does not have skills to make it work.
It is task beyond him.

He tried to do it against ManU but he just does not have what it takes.

Idea is good.
And without a doubt should have been implemented while we had Benta, PEH, Biss,Sarr, Skipp, White.

Getting rid of Conte just buys the board / Levy more time. This club isn't set-up for any form of success other than the one man you're hounding out. Until the owners are gone and a ruthless and costly clear out has occured we're always going to have these issues.

If Conte wants to save his job and turn this team around, he must - MUST drop Son. Immediately. He cannot start the next game. Tanganga is not a PL footballer. Leave him out for anything other than cup games against weak lower league teams. There's no excuse, major surgery or not, to see your new signing is getting absolutely fucking hammered and leave him in there.

We have a game tomorrow. I expect nothing less than drastic changes and an immediate improvement.

I wanted Conte to be the manager when his name was first connected with Spurs before Nuno got the gig but it's turned out that we're not playing any better than we did under Mourinho.

A lot gets made of managers losing dressing g room’s, well this feels like the dressing room lost its manager. He clearly doesn’t want to be here. It was a money gig while he had fuck all else on.

We look utterly fucking rudderless. No defined style or tactics, players allowed to underperform and get picked week after week. We are atrocious without the ball, clueless with it. Games are a lottery.

We need a complete fucking reboot.

Conte and Paratici out. New recruitment analytics team. New DOF. New head coach. New direction. New identity.

Levy and Enic can follow them out the door, but agreed we definitely need a reset, and a big one.

Sarri's name is making the rounds in the lower rung tabloids as a possible replacement for Conte.

He wouldn't be my first choice and is ex Chelsea. But the football would be fun if he actually got time to implement it.

Granted we'd stink of smoke.

Agree - I don't blame Conte and I didn't really blame Mourinho either. They both got lumped with fundamentally the same tripe.
I was no fan of Mourinho at all but i think he got a rougher deal than Conte's had. We've spent more and on better players than Mourinho got. He was right wanting rid of Alli and Ndombele but overuled by Levy wheras Conte has got Gil and Spence out and replaced. Conte possibly has a bit more credit in the bank for last season but this season has been no better than Mourinhos. Neither should have been appointed as they are at odds with the way we operate but hey Ten Hag interviewed badly or something.

The problem is, any coach will get fed up at Spurs. If you constantly feel like you're fighting with one hand tied behind your back you're gonna lose interest.
I would say this is especially true of proven winners like Mourinho and Conte.

If we bring Poch back, there's no way will he last 5 years again. He's older and more experienced now. he's won a league title and cup at PSG and he isn't going to have those hopes that a team close to challenging can get over the line the next year.
He's going to come back aware of Levy's tricks and lies. He's going to know he won't get any of the top players he wants and it'll be opportunistic signings and D bucket options.

For this reason, we're probably going to be changing coaches every 18 months to 2 years form now until ENIC go.

Poor Conte, only getting 8 players of his choice in a year and a half, spending hunderds of millions, he can't be expected to show interest in his job that's paying him 15m a year.

Yeyea, all this is true to some extent.
And in fact not pulling trigger on Conte after Leeds game is also on Levy.

But whoever the owners are, we haven't been so clueless on the pitch ever... since I started following Spurs.
Surely whoever (and that includes likes of Mason) would have some idea what to do. They might fail in this, but at least having an idea is a step forward.
