Dier moved to CB 5 years ago because he couldn’t cut it at CM. It’s not like he was moved because he was an amazing CB.

He was 24 then and moved mostly because he wasn’t mobile enough. He’s 29 now.

How can anyone possibly expect him to play CM nowadays?

The headline is misleading as are a lot of the propositions within the article. He answered some questions about football in Italy and England, there's nothing even vaguely controversial in his answers, there's no real hint of a preference.

And the Conte is chaotic as was the press conference bit is just nonsense, there's nothing to suggest the press conference was badly organized and chaotic because of Conte. It's Football London clickbait like most internet articles.

Absolutely. Change has to happen in terms of players to select from and also in top management.

But everything else takes more time +these players in terms of overall quality have to do better than in past 12 games. A LOT FUCKING BETTER.

You would think so, but in my limited Pub football style analysis, take the gooners game for example, we go 3 at the back and match up to their midfield 3vs2 which means they dominate the middle of the park,
With that in mind you could look to our wing backs to try and stretch the game and give us an out, the trouble is our Wingbacks are shite, which just leaves us sitting back trying to soak up pressure, we must be so easy to play against this way, maybe if we had a decent defence that didnt just panic while getting pressed it would be alright!
I just think when you have a team who on there day has some of the best attacking talent in the league, you should play to your advantages, stick an extra man in the middle, dont get overrun and maybe actually get the ball up top to Kane !

Please for the love of god fuck off with trying to big up this utter cunt, he was the worst manager we've had in fucking decades (to go back to the seasons that were statistically worse than his and I'd have them over the dinosaur any day of the week). The football was shit, easily the worst I've ever seen at Spurs. He got so lucky with the season stopped while we were tanking on what was real relegation form, not once but TWICE!!!!

What is the point of this? There isn't ANY amount of bullshit that can be spouted that changes the facts.

There are definitely more entertaining Italian coaches out there. Managers who have taken the defensive, tactical approach of the old Italian style and developed it. Spaletti at Napoli, Gasperini at Atalanta, De Zerbi at Brighton, Inzaghi at Lazio and now Inter, Sarri at Lazio and so on. Even Mancini with the National team.

Assuming that our heirarchy wants to keep building Italian then there's no reason that we cannot get a more entertaining/attack minded coach. Inzaghi uses a 3-5-2 system like Conte, but plays further up the field with more aggression and some more creativity.

It's crazy, isn't it? The guy has all the quickness of a glacier and people think it's a good idea to put him into a two-man midfield that is constantly being overrun. I understand that we might need to have some out of the box thinking but this just doesn't make any sense.
