It's ok to disagree, his Chelsea team towards the end played a back five and relied on the counter attack. I don't want that to continue at Tottenham. There are many things you say about Tuchel but defensive football isn't one of them.

Yeah, I agree with that but we don't know what the situation is.Just seems like a waste of time tasking him with something if he’s gone before we decide on a new manager. Especially if we bring in a new Sporting Director who will have their own ideas
This is the club that had to cancel Doherty’s contract due to loaning out too many players & over booked BeyoncéI think both statements can exist.
The club would have as good a handle as any regarding Paratici's legal situation in Italy, if there is the slightest doubt that he's banned outside of the UK then they will know this and should be planning accordingly.
But as it stands he's not banned, he's working and therefore this is his job to draw up a shortlist and I would imagine advancing to making tentative approaches with those on the list. The interviews are conducted by him and members of the board.
But, it's highly likely his ban would have reduced/undermind the authority/power he had (unless we hired him with the knowledge that he was likely to get a ban in Italy).
I'd go for de zerbi and plenty of patience.
Not sure about the romantic poch reunion.
Too many of his players that downed tools under him still remain at the club , and we 100 percent aren't getting rid of
Kane
Son
Hugo
Davies
Dier
Sanchez
Winks
Ndombele
Locelso
Sessegnon
Tanganga
In one window, probably just Lucas, rodon and unfortunately Kane
If we appoint another ex-Chelsea manager, I'm done.Mourinho, Conte, Tuchel.
All ex chavs who play defensive football and think they are bigger than our club.
We would be back here in 18 months again without doubt.
Yeah, I agree with that but we don't know what the situation is.
If we know his position is untenable then we get rid. What I'm saying is we don't know if his position is untenable. So can only make the assumption that, as he is still here, that he is carrying out his duties as MD of Football.
That was down to Paratici and his department, he's in charge of that aspect of the business not the Board. This is the club that had to cancel Doherty’s contract due to loaning out too many players & over booked Beyoncé
I am almost certain that the board are discussing it right now. There's too much smoke going around. But I also understand them not jumping the gun by sacking Conte before they have the next guy done and dusted. We don't want another Nuno scenario.Don’t think can really use any national team job as reason for or against a manager. The knock on Enrique is that he’s only really done it with a super team at barca, but he did have them playing some of the most exciting football the worlds ever seen, won a treble with them and they went to shit when he left.
It would be a big risk but his style and philosophy is what we need, any manager we hire has to be on a long contract and committed to a project, to avoid the mess we’re in now. But I really don’t think we can wait til May to decide so for me it has to be someone available now
Yep.There's still day-to-day work to be done and co-ordinated..... Obviously the situ isn't ideal, but there's no better way to deal with it other than business as usual until such time that Fab's future is resolved.
Put simply it would be better to have irons in the fire; even if a new bloke opts not to use them and prefers to bring his own.
I don’t think he has anything to do with concerts , why would he .That was down to Paratici and his department, he's in charge of that aspect of the business not the Board.
Yep.
And I assume this will be known or not known.
Sky are reporting we are looking for a new DoF. If this is true and not made-up clickbait then great and that makes total sense. What would follow would be an appointment of a new manager by new DoF. We've got time to get this resolved too.
But if there is no issue with Paratici, then it's business as usual - this is his job.
I think he's a very good manager BUT I think his football is boring, 70% possession with XG of about 1 or 2!!Don’t think can really use any national team job as reason for or against a manager. I was only really responding to the Doherty aspect.I don’t think he has anything to do with concerts , why would he .
We have many levels of incompetence
I'm not a huge possession for possession's sake man, either. Wenger-ball was fucking woeful to watch, like paint drying. At times we lapsed into that in the later Poch years and it was as fucking dull and dreadful as Mourinho.I think he's a very good manager BUT I think his football is boring, 70% possession with XG of about 1 or 2!!
I love my teams to have possession of the ball, I'm consistent on this, but I really don't like Barca tiki-taka nonsense. The only pleasing aspect was watching the genius of individual layers like Messi do something amazing.
I'm also not sure if a) We have a team/players that will enable him to play the way he wants b) that the challenge of the PL will expose it as it did with Pep when he first arrived at City (BTW he had a squad that was already stocked to the gills with talent, many of whom had been pre-selected especially for Pep at least 2yrs earlier as they knew they could get him so the copied and they also recruited loads of ex-Barca staff behind the scenes to facilitate this too).

I always thought of Enriques barca being slightly different to peps, they always excited me more than his team, but maybe that’s just that front 3 of Messi Neymar and Suarez.I think he's a very good manager BUT I think his football is boring, 70% possession with XG of about 1 or 2!!
