Tight slot.
I like that too.

In fairness, two genuine concerns however...Been watching Feyenoord quite a bit this season and especially since March when we were first linked with Slot. I’m very optimistic and excited for this project as his tactics are a great watch and his youth development is something this club greatly needs. I do have 2 concerns though
- We haven’t seen too much of him against experienced managers. He faced Mourinho twice these past 2 years in big knockout games and lost both ties. How will he deal with the big name premier league managers week in week out?
- Does he have enough pedigree to convince the big egos in our squad of his project? Or will he turn out to be another Nuno where the players are unmotivated?
Hoping both of these concerns can be resolved with time and patience
In fairness, two genuine concerns however...
1) The last loss against Roma was a very unlucky one where Roma equalised with a minute or so on the clock. Also, you'd have to say Roma's squad is a lot higher profile than Feyenoord's and only just squeaked past themm.
2) Hopefully he'll remove the big egos from the squad. If Kane, no matter how brilliant he is doing by himself, is hurting the team overall, then he has to go. Simple as that. We need a manager who is first and foremost, the boss.
The due diligence on that will take ages...
Wow, haven’t heard that one since last night. When Arnie has assembled the right players and we are destroying all before us do you think we will be known as ‘Slot’s Machine’?
According to piss-poor hack David Hytner from the Islington Graun we're "considering an approach"

To be fair he is under contract and we have to act respectfully and properly. Their season isn't over. We seem to be doing all the right things in the background.
Dan will threaten them with being chucked down a terrace like 74, if they start playing up, plus Scott looks like he could handle himself, looks like the sort who carries.... Just in casePlus we don't want to piss them off over the compensation, which I doubt will be an easy one to agree. Well, knowing us it won't be.
How's he going to manage to do that with our lot?"The 44-year-old brings on youth, plays attacking, pressing football and likes a tight defence"
I see but we don't have forwards that can press and our defence is full of errors.Feels like a similar situation to Poch's arrival tbh. We had a gifted but disorganised defense that noone would have predicted to be the tightest in the league a year or so later.
Toby came in and immediately improved Vertonghen by covering Jan's attacking instincts. The shift to high pressing suited the likes of Walker and Rose who were more comfortable in the middle of the pitch, and Dier was played in a holding role that fell into a back 3 when the fullbacks moved into attack. I think (from memory) that was how Poch managed an attacking press.
