Forgive me, yes removed for next year. The logic is, it's unrelatable that it was £20m this year, if it's €5 next year, was the point I wanted to make. (€5m is in the valuation boundaries of what they pay him and possibly, maybe includes backroom(???))

His actual version is highly credible IMO, some of the stuff he said is never usually discussed or divulged in that detail. To take him at his word we didn't speak with him, and things weren't advanced (how can they be if we haven't met with him).

You can't turn down what you haven't been offered.

Most certainly he was approached via intermediaries, whether that's intermediaries on both sides we don't know.

The ONLY interesting part in all this was the Sporting Director declaring the week before he was approached by us and we offered him the DoF (or whatever we are going to call it) role. There has been very little written about this, totally glossed over by the media. I guess DoF's are boring and don't generate clicks.
