Honestly, though, I'm kinda not too bothered. I think willingly choosing to stay at Feyenoord at this point leads me to doubt Slot's decision making. More likely than not that they slide back now and he's going to be managing Wolves or Fulham next.

To be fair, not choosing to manage spurs might show that his decision making is really good.

I do get this. But surely people should be deeply concerned at what we will end up with if we can't even convince this guy to come.

A funny for Nathan Jones. I’d definitely go Levy Out at that point.

Fine to be concerned. I’m of the opinion that we are working hard on a plan for this. I’m sure Slot was on our list and was maybe even initially sounded out, but doubt he was plan A, B and C. A week or so until seasons end throughout Europe and I’d imagine we are waiting until then to see who is on the market at that point too.

An example being Spalletti. Wouldn’t have got a mention from me a week ago, but now? I quite like the idea and feel it may be possible. But I also rate Brendy, so make of that what you wish.

But a firm no on Nathan Jones.

Has FDB vibes for me. Hard to argue that deciding he'd rather wait for a better job than take on the job at Spurs was good for FDB's career.

When you have a hot hand, you play it. The odds of Feyenoord doing it again next year are slim. If Feyenoord fall back, there are no bigger clubs than Spurs that will take him on. He'll end up at a mid-table PL/Serie A club next, there's no doubt in my mind on that. Unless he stays at Feyenoord long enough for the shine to wear off and gets sacked, then he'll be in the MLS.

And yet we only supposedly met with him once less than 5 days ago, now flatly denied by Slot.

In any world of normal does that sound like a guy that we were serious about? (one fucking denied interview).

All based on what? A deleted tweet that nobody check to verify.

I'm in no doubt he was on the list of possibilities but I seriously doubt any information about how someone is viewed on that list.

Fine then WTF has this Board been doing for SIXTY f’in days!?! I believed the media stories because it would made sense for the Board to have identified Slot as their top target, quietly outlined a deal with him/Feyenoord through intermediaries then after Feyenoord won the Erdevise move to finalize everything.

But apparently I have given the Board much to much credit - The Board seems to have mostly sat on it’s bum for two months. Dysfunctional Chelsea has completed its process and lined up Poch in less time than us as Potter was sacked after Conte. WTF is going on in our Boardroom. How did we not sound out Feyenoord’s release price a month or more ago?! It’s a clown show. .
