No matter what happens it can’t be as cruel as this season. At least we won’t be wasting 90 minutes each week.

Both in terms of the degree of warning we had of the opening, and the differential difficulty of taking on the position in the middle of the season, it is way more head scratching that we don't have a DoF yet than a manager.
We are mere days from that calculus flipping, though.

The point is NO ONE else does too and this clearly includes the media. I've no issue with media writing pieces on possible managers so long as they put in a bit of effort and verify the source, if they did that then last night's debacle would never have occurred.
As punters, we all read exactly the same stuff as it gets regurgitated around the world, there is no interest though in imparting information that's accurate, so long as they are seen to be doing it the first.
My major concern is we don't have a DoF, so without one why/how would a new coach commit to us without knowing who his boss is? In addition, why are we seemingly trying to appoint a head coach when we don't have a DoF?
Maybe we are merely identifying a list of interested parties, so that when a DoF comes in they can move swiftly by selecting one from the list???? And maybe that's what Slot was, a guy we may or may not have interviewed 5 days ago, liked him but told him we'll get back to you when we've signed a DoF or whatever.
But even the stuff that does come out in the press is still very basic and doesn't correlate with the tag "preferred" or "top target" or whatever.

I don't follow the comparison with Gross. Gross came from the Swiss league and there was nothing from that league to prepare him for our league. Slot has just won a title in one of the top European leagues with an unlikely team so I don't see any obvious red flags over his competence.
There are no guarantees with any manager. Ramos came to us with a proven track record and no one could have predicted how badly that appointment ended.

Anyway Boehley and Levy - Are they the two “most active” owners in the League? Certainly seem to get more press than any other owners. What master classes by these two in running their football clubs this campaign. Very different approaches at least in terms of spending - Similiar disasterous results on the pitch.
Don’t necessarily need ENIC out - Levy can keep his ownership - He just needs to stop running the club and act like most other club owners.

Contract signing day was alleged to be weeks ago but nada.
Must admit anyone that signs a new deal this late in the season rather than waiting a couple more weeks to see what opportunities arise after the season ends is being a touch hasty.
.........Perhaps Poch is holding out in lieu of RM and 1 or 2 other situations.
