Would love to know what the targets next season will be for the new manager. My guess would be a top 6 finish and to develop young underperformers into good players, such as Di
Probably the least appealing of the manager’s currently linked.
Doesn’t he play a vertical, counter-attacking 4-3-3 with traditional wingers?
I did this in 01/02 Champ Man. Ahead of my time.

That´s brilliant actually, just sums up what i´ve been thinking for a while!

It´s actually hilarious to see how many people on social media believes every fucking cunt out there calling themselves a "journalist" or a "ITK" as long as it fits with the narrative!!

If it´s something i´ve learned as a non British it´s that the English sports media just lies through their teeth and make shit up, and that isn´t exactly "journalism" is it?

Your so-called journalists of course knows the history with ENIC and Levy, and nowadays just spits out myths every single day, it´s actually hilarious.

If all of us actually wants to avoid insanity(to late for me), i suggest we don`t listen to 95% of the shit the media is pumping out there, they have an agenda, don´t ever forget that!

I mentioned the other day when that Dutch journo deleted his story because it was wrong, that it was something ours just wouldn’t do. They don’t care about accuracy.

Keep throwing shit and when something sticks, claim you knew.

The life of a "journalist in the transfer business"

You've all created these beasts by rapidly refreshing websites

That’s the thread I posted, I just couldn’t be fucked to post it all. All true.
Yeah sorry about that mate, noticed that you had about 10mins after I did, by then had a couple of comments attached to it so didn't delete it.

What amazes me every year is people cunt off the media for calling them false or shit stirrers, biased or whatever. Yet believe every post to be true on Twitter, usually the same people that get called out.

I chuck myself into that to some degree too. I don't know enough about human psychology to have an answer but I think it's principle is driven by aligning yourself to something you believe or want to happen. I fight this urge over Nagelsmann who I have had as my number one choice even when Conte was still here, so any glimmer of hope there is at getting him in my head (because it makes sense) I see the linked Tweet as a positive.

It doesn't correlate too well with Slot though, given that 74% of this board didn't want him, so I can only guess that this is more about fake rage, a rage used to target the Club rather than those who reported on it and got it so spectacularly wrong.

Mokbel is a fucking hack. Incredible someone actually pays him anything for the shit he churns out.
I almost totally accept some press behaviour in today's 24/7 cycle, as the reality is there's very little to write about, so the need to spin something out for a while is obvious for a hungry pack of consumers (us).

What I can't accept is a blatant fabrication.

This story is still worthy if those writing about it say they don't know what's going on, as details are hard to determine, I can live with this. I can live with the fact of them weighing up the snippets of what they do know and sharing their thoughts with the fans.

Yeah let´s keep on rolling with the Italians!!

Go Crazy Wtf GIF
Hiring someone actually called "Italiano" would definitely be doubling down, wouldn't it?

My thoughts are:

Nagelsmann was the best candidate.

By a loooong distance.

A combination of the club dithering until the end of the season and the media using the time to make up stories makes it all less interesting.

The need a direction, a DOF, a plan, and then a manager. Then they need to stick to all those if that's what they are doing. No more half-baked ideas about being a fake big club or a fake project club.

I was being ironic mate. Posters trot out nonsense.

Numerous managers of note will take the job but no idea what the club are seeking, and it's now clear that we did not make a formal approach for Slot, so does anybody have any idea whatsoever?

We can be 99% sure that Slot wasn't extending his contract at Feyenoord that fast if we made a serious approach for him.

The guy owns a 2.5m house, on a 1-3m salary. He could have paid that mortgage off in a season of Spurs money. People forget that reality exists even when you are earning that kind of money. Even if he only lasted 18 months, a 3 year contract would have secured his family for life.

That's before you even look at the increased working conditions at Spurs with the training ground and the quality of players he could recruit.

In any meeting or interview, Slot would have been selling himself to Spurs. The media narratives are cute but the reality is still that Slot would never turn down Spurs.
