I think this could turn out to be a gem of an appointment. Nobody seems to be expecting much from him and that could be a blessing as it takes the pressure off and turns the expectations down. We've gone down the road of signing the most renowned and respected managers around and they haven't worked out. Mourinho. Conte. All I want from him is to take the shackles off our attack and get back to playing attractive, fearless, if also sometimes naïve, football we were once accustomed to.

Well even if we had a settled dof you’d be upset if as manager you had no say

Without a dof I think he’s got to be trusted

This is the thing with Daniel … he seems to manage to fuvk it up every approach he takes

He meddles himself he buys shit… he gets bawled out .. steps back hires a dof comolli and baldly. They mostly bought shit. Then he goes alright poch have it your way ,,, and look I love poch still but the shit he bought was indefensible… it was Xmas every transfer window with each arrival a bigger turkey than the last… culminating in a turkey so big it won’t fit in the oven

So whilst I have some sympathy for Daniel it’s some achievement to hit such a series of low notes regardless how it’s tackled….. so bringing it back round to address your question…. I think Daniel might as well hold up his hands and think … well he can’t do worse than us

Knowing Daniel it will involve some input from him so regardless, first thing Ange is going to have be accustomed to is being creeped out by the weird little dude

The input from Levy isn't going to be "why don't you buy this player instead?' It's likely going to be "we can't afford him," at which point we will have to go to our 2nd or 3rd choice based on what the DoF and scouting team have come up with. It's not like Levy is out there scouting players.

No I agree with you.

But he definitely did get involved in the scouting shortly after enic bought the club. I remember reading a piece in it quoted him saying …. He knew absolutely nothing about football and kept himself out of any scouting remits … which he said changed as he got more familiar with the sport …… that told me enough that he began having an input on player recruitment and not solely signing or not signing the dotted line

You know how successful people get about football. They think they can transfer whatever skills they apply to business or commerce or trading etc and then get totally found out …. Todd boehly …. You have to be a football person (stats aside) to know football

You can’t just learn the rules and think you know football. These boardroom types realise the tough way
 
regards the players that need to go, I would expect the manager his coaches to be going though all the full match videos of spurs and those of the players loaned out and picking the guys who need to go
as many have said the older playerson loan are there because of a reason (most are unless in spurs shirt

but make sure they have the commentaries turned off,
