So Dier says he wants a move abroad and then starts playing shit.

90Min is a horrendous source. I don’t think they’ve ever got anything right
They might be guessing, but they also might be right. If you keep Kane, which is far from certain, who are the remaining assets who are worth more than what you might find reaching down into your couch cushions? Dier, Hojbjerg, Richarlison, and Kulu. Of those, you have to think Postecoglou would like Richarlison because he would fit his system. Hojbjerg's best skill is getting the ball back, but since Spurs plan on keeping the ball much more that's less important. Dier probably isn't a good fit to system. Kulu can contribute but if you keep Richarlison you probably have to let him go to raise some cash. Personally, I'd keep Kulu and let the other three go, but suprisingly Levy hasn't called me to ask my opinion. :)

Without looking you knew 2 of the disagrees would be from the French and Scottish blokes.
I disagreed with two of the points.

1. We made more profit than Woolwich.

It took me two minutes to discover this is wrong by looking at official published accounts. Neither club made a profit last year. Tottenham made a bigger loss than Woolwich. Woolwich had a bigger operating profit than we did.

2. We charge more for tickets.

There is no evidence to support this claim. It seems we charge about the same but clubs don’t publish the information needed to evaluate this claim.

Why would a Spurs Twitter account post false things about our own club?

Because they’re trying to support an argument.

But even you, Deuterz Deuterz dont think the problem is our lack of spending. The problem is how we spend it.

Stupid tweets like this suggest the aim is to win the transfer market. By spending 100m we’ve done something meaningful and good. But most of our best transfers have been low to midrange purchases (Modric, Bale, Dembele, Vertonghen, Alderweirald, Alli, Son) and our most expensive ones have been poor or inconclusive (Richarlison, Ndombele, Romero).

So that’s why I disagreed.

Cool story bro.

Hate this debate but if we cut the fluff and BS.

Spurs and Woolwich have similar revenue and profit/loss. At least ball park.

They have the balls to chase 100m players from the top shelf. Every time we try for a player on the top shelf, miraculously it doesn't come off.

Nobody, with any level of intellectually honest debate, can argue the position that woolwich aren't showing more ambition than Levy and ENIC.

You can come back with some waffle if you like, I'll ignore it and deep down we will both know why.

Is there any point having this conversation? fuck no because Levy operates the way he does and we may as well enjoy the club for what it is.

Ange ball is going to be more fun than endless fucking debates about ENIC's fake ambition.

Point made.

Our fanbase doesn't really have a clue what they want. But I guess that's our lack of identity as a club.

You have some people wanting us to be a selling club like Dortmund or Brighton. Who brings in good young players to sell them on for profit, rinse repeat.

You then have some who want us to spend big on big names in a league that has five clubs bigger than us and three of the richest clubs in world football where competitive edge plays a part.

Then there's other who want us to back managers. But then complain about the people we are linked with. Want us to pay the money for players the manager wants. Only to complain about the player we spent big on after a few games.

What do we actually want?
How about Dortmund or Brighton but without the selling bit?
