I think it's a gamble at that money. I just can't see the qualities or desire to be arsed. Maybe he'll do well there. Hope not.
He's a very good player but for me, Dembele was world-class in his position. I always think Kovacic plays well within himself most of the time. Granted I see him much more for Chelsea than his country.

Sorry, only Spurs fans would say that. Dembele was great, but his peak was at Tottenham. You can say that you think Dembele is better player, but on another level is laughable.
Prime Mousa Dembélé easily could've played for teams like Bayern and Real Madrid based on his qualities, but injuries and fitness issues were always a bit of a concern.

100% agree.
Then they waste something of their most important offensive player from last season.
Kovacic was mostly a squad player for Madrid, very good for Chelsea but in and out of the team towards the end & will be a squad player at City. He's got some really good attributes & its not surprising big sides want him in their team, but Dembele could've been a star for these teams imo.
Maybe that IS overrating him - but I think that everything Kovacic is great at, Dembele was a step ahead on. I've never seen Kovacic dominate midfields the way Dembele did with his physicality + technique. I legitimately think that if he didn't have huge fitness issues & had found his real position earlier, he'd have gone down as a world class midfielder.

Yeah i would say he's a "busy" player but never pegged him as 70 mill euros. Maybe Milan agree and that's why they're selling.
