Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Anyway, managers from countries like Australia don't get noticed precisely because they are from places like Australia. Nobody looks down here. Why would they?
Or maybe it’s because the football level in Australia is fucking shit? Even MLS is higher rated than Australian league and the best manager USA shipped out was Marsch, who got found out quickly at Leeds.
What he has done is monumental. It is unprecedented and should therefore give Spurs fans the confidence that he may just have some idea of what he is doing.
I’m ded :harrylol::harrylol::harrylol::harrylol::harrylol::harrylol::harrylol:

To be fair, it's only a couple of the usual suspects who have done this, mate. They've been called out for their nonsense by quite a number of posters.

All real spurs fans are looking forward to seeing what he can do!

I agree its a pathetic attitude from some though.
Yeah, fuck em, their snippiness about Aussies is the same reason why he hasn't got a job in the league before now...football snobbery...

Mate,

It's not about the level of football in Oz, ... or in Japan , ... Or Scotland, ..

It's about his record.
It's about his mentality.
It's about the respect he has earnt in 3 countries.

Speak to anyone from Melbourne to Yokohama, all the way to Scotland. Why do they all still adore the bloke ?

Why the uproar when he left Celtic ?

Yes, he hasn't managed in any of the big European Leagues. No one has, until they do.

He reminds me of an history teacher of mine who was an ex rugby player, you always had this feeling with him that if you messed about too much, he might actually batter you - and probably batter your dad as well

I also recently signed up on the forum. Started following Spurs in 1981 and have been a paying Spurs member for well over a decade now. So, you'd do well to stop making assumptions about certain fans as you have above. Only here because we are Aussies? You should be embarrassed by making that comment. I have posted on a few other Spurs forums over the years. Do we specifically have to have posted here to be valid fans?

Anyway, managers from countries like Australia don't get noticed precisely because they are from places like Australia. Nobody looks down here. Why would they? We don't have the pedigree. Postecoglou has broken through a glass ceiling to get to where he is and has had to clear more hurdles than managers born in so called "football" countries. Your position is outrightly dismissive of the barriers that stand in a budding manager's way coming from non-traditional footballing countries like mine.

In no way does Postecoglou's age diminish his managerial ability. He's giving every other manager at least a decade's head start in terms of where he has come from and where he has landed. What he has done is monumental. It is unprecedented and should therefore give Spurs fans the confidence that he may just have some idea of what he is doing.
also plays modern high intensity football when super manager conte played dino ball. Age has nothing to do with it

So the forum recently has had a few Oz additions, which Im sure Admin Admin is pleased with, only to be belted by some here who couldn't grasp any inkling of positivity.

Pathetic and disappointing.

Everyone who has followed Ange through his journey will tell you one thing that's a cert. He says what he means, and he means what he says. He will ruffle some feathers, and we will go through some crap. Ultimately, if backed, I am sure we will enjoy this ride.

Listen to Maddison. Ange did not plead for him join. It;'s not his fucking DNA.

Just give the man a fair go.

Your fault you're letting 2 certified plebs wind you up ;)

The vast vast majority of this forum are behind him

I've read all these arguments before mate, and even though they havent changed my mind, I wont argue against them as we would be going circles over and over again. I really hope he turns out to be as good as the australians think he is.

About the forum thing, there's been a sudden influx of australians after Ange was appointed. It would have been the strangest coincidence if all the australians suddenly started looking for spurs forums just as an australian is appointed by spurs. Eventually, if/when Ange gets sacked, and they still hang around, then maybe it will be more believable that they have been lifelong spurs fans from the beginning of time.
Why does that matter?

Whether they're new or not, it's actually nice to have fans from other parts of the World coming on here.

Who cares if they haven't been 'lifelong fans?'

Being a fan should be enough.
