Ex-Spurs Player Eric Dier

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Pay attention...

I said I'd prefer them to fuck off then the players who aren't perceived as good enough, I stand by that.
“yay look at me I’m so haughty and polite because I applaud the players and management responsible for the worst season in 14 years”

Different people will express themselves differently, we all have a different outlook on life and what we want from the club and their general approach to things..

People criticise the club because ultimately they want the best for it. If people have lost faith in Levy, in Dier, you can’t accuse them of making a quick snap judgement. It’s based on years of evidence.

Just ignore the tweet you daft twat. There are members on here that do nothing apart from post tweets and retweets. It annoys me no end but I just don’t click on them.

Our fans are no different to other fan bases, you are very naive if you think otherwise. In fact I’d say we are far more tolerant than some, hard as that is for you to believe.

Maybe this football supporting lark isn’t for you. Don’t be so precious would be my suggestion.

Nah actually I won't and seeing as it totally annoys you I'm going to keep bringing it up and talking about it, so you probably just need to deal with it. 😆

If you want to continually defend their behaviour even though you you keep telling the world you're not then you do you...

At this point this is a bit of a pointless argument now, we both got our frustrations off this morning so we'll just have to leave it there

You realise that you are literally having a different argument here to the one I'm proposing don't you.

I'm going to watch the documentary before posting on here, I suggest that people might do the same.
I agree Eric had an awful season last season, but apart from H, so did everyone, including the manager and the board.

I like Eric Dier the person, just wish he wasn't so shite a centre back, as he held alot of promise as CM when he was young.
But those days are long gone and he is what he is now, a pretty awful defender. He has no place in the team aymore, but good luck to him for trying to turn it out around

I disagree about him as a person. I think he comes across as an absolute helmet on the pitch. Constantly roaring and shouting at team mates after his perpetual fuck ups. Never taking any responsibility. Never showing any leadership. Absolutely zero self awareness, zero accountability.
The guy is literally a slightly better version of Titus Bramble but appears to have an opinion of himself as prime Maldini.

He’s one of the very few players that have played for Spurs that I really actively dislike.

He needs to go. ASAP.

I meant off the pitch, he always come across as likeable in interviews and behind the scenes videos, and i have no doubt he'll continue to come across well in the documentry. On the pitch though sure, i dont have too much positive to say

So, my take on the documentary is that Eric is a lovely character and a decent human being.
Didn't realize that he had been at Everton for a year.
He's a bit like me in that he was born one nationality but considers another country as his home.
I feel that he progressed well to a certain level, but hasn't really hit the heights and don't think he's going to improve on his latest performances (but I would love to be proven wrong).
The cynic in me thinks that the documentary was made to pull on our heartstrings before offering him a new contract. We have to admit that if no new CB is joining us this transfer window, then we have to persevere with him and Romero as our first choice pairing ( heaven help us and Elmo).
Let's see if Ange's tactics and coaching can bring out his best before assigning him to the bin.

He comes across as a decent person. Not your usual footballer type.
Managed to get a plug in for his Spotlas App.
The other players all seem to like him.
Shame it gone a bit sour for him really.

Dier is not a very bright footballer.
Seems quite a bright bloke, but it's not hard to see he is one of the least intelligent footballers in our entire squad. He's up there with dead-end head down Moura for "I've NFI what to do" behaviours.
