Ex-Spurs Player Dele

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He’s human. He’ll be racked with doubt like we all are at times. Such a shame his mind is where it is as he was a fantastic player. Hopefully he’s young enough that he can get back to where he was.

Hard watch but explains so much

I hope he can get back on track and sort himself out, because he's young enough that he can still play for another 6 years easy. More important he gets his mental health sorted so he can stop the self destructive side of him and live a long happy life though

I was in tears watching some of that. Dele has had a childhood that would break a lot of people.

I'm so glad he's found his passion for the game, and has been brave enough to open up about his past. He's an immensely strong character.

I know we all like to banter each other on here, but I also know if anyone one was struggling with anything, we could talk to someone.

It’s sad to hear all this from Dele, many people in and outside the club obviously played a role in his decline but he seems to be ready to include himself in that as well.

That said, the Amazon documentary was a big mistake, one of the biggest Levy has ever made. It upset Poch, it upset the players, it made public things that should never leave the dressing room. The only person who enjoyed it was Mourinho. You should never let people see behind the curtain.

Just because we played a CL final, Levy seemed to think that made us an elite club and that it was appropriate to bring Mourinho and a load of Amazon cameras into a very fragile and febrile environment. The £10m fee was not worth the damage to our reputation as a club and the self-esteem of our players.
Spot on, totally agree with every word

Good on him for getting help and speaking out - shame the press meant it wasn’t just on his terms.

Love this idea

Just played back to back 5 times. Thank you

i just want the kid to be happy. I know he a man, but in my eyes he will always be a mischievous kid.
fuck football and the media just get him back to having that infectious smile on his face.

Very sad to watch that, but also I think it could be good for Dele that it has all been released and out there now.

I really hope he can use this to kickstart his career again and get close to what he can achieve.

Best of Luck Dele.

The club should find a proper role for him really.
The club did right by Ryan Mason. I hope when the time comes, it will stand by Dele. He may not have come through our academy, but he was here at 19, and this is where he became a superstar, this is his footballing home.

At the age of 7, he had "no rules". Had a house Key and could "come and go as he pleased. It is amazing that he actually achieved what he did, before falling by the wayside..

Especially, given the area he lived in with all the undoubted poor influences and temptations. Sounds awful.

I hope he finds good sport for him to kick on playing football. Everton or somewhere else, doesn’t matter. He’s not done. Come on Dele
I said this earlier in this thread. But I think that Dyche and Dele should be a good fit for each other.

Dyche is a strict, principled guy that will give Dele clear expectations and goals. But he's also a approachable, humane sort so they can have a rapport.
