Match Tottenham Hotspur v Hull City

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

...the jock-sniffing lot got their wish with Holtby, Sandro, and Lennon - and look where it got us...at least AVB came to his senses quickly in the 2nd half...of course now they'll be saying that it would have been 4-0 if Lamela had played...
..fucking Lamela...
COYS

were did this absolute melter come from??

sammys bff???

this place is turning into fuckn cringe central, attack of the fuckn trolls

Three points is three points.

For those who watched the same stream as I did, it was a miracle we beat the "Barca of the Norf" and AVB will no doubt offer Bale money for Curtis Davis because he is the best player in the country. Oh and our penalty was a bad decision but Daws should have been sent off because Davis fell over infront of him.

Dean Sturridge: possibly the worst commentator ever.

For all the criticism of Soldado, thank god we have a player on the pitch who can put away a penalty. Lost count of all the crucial ones Defoe etc missed down the years, those 3 he's scored have been the difference between 3 and 9 points.

Looking forward to the Everton game now, a team who will actually attack and give us a good game.

Cant help feeling we have lost an immense player in Vertonghen with him stuck out on the left. Vlad looks pretty good, so its not that...but I would really like Rose to get fit, and Jan go CB.
Agreed. Jan is such a good defender that nobody can fill his spot when he's not in the middle. Rose brings so much to our attack as well. When he's gone, the left side looks weak going forward.

We had a very good spell with Eriksen and in particular Dembele on. We had the ball a whole lot in their final third.

When Defoe came on, we couldn't get the ball out of the final third anymore. Not JD's fault, but a formation issue.

We should have brought Siggy on, much more dynamic and mobile. Defoe and Soldado are both players lurking about in front of opposition box, not going anywhere else much.

Tottenham Hotspur, making easy hard since 1882.
Fair play to Steve Bruce though, chucking 10 players behind the ball and a nippy African fellow upfront, I do wonder how much of our recent 'not very sexy football' is down to us or the other team. Regardless we do seem to break them down one way or another, just or not. Dean Sturridge might as well of just referred to us as cunts throughout the 90 as well, I hate bias in commentary one way or the other, makes me ill to watch England and British clubs in Europe on ITV.
Soldado 6 in 10 now for Spurs:soldadowatch:
Also Huddlestone intercepted more passes in that one match than he did in his last 40 for Spurs, rascal.
:smesh:

Three points which is great, AVB is getting points, but I do wish we made it easier on ourselves - it may not be popular but winning games like today's just seems to paper over the cracks. With the talent we have we should be ripping teams apart. We are so so wooden, predictable, and I don't know, just not right. I really want AVB to make whatever changes are necesary so that we start winning more convincingly, else we will lose more games like this.

Into the top four and still only 3 points off the summit. Everton game should be interesting. No ideas what way that one will go.

Hull had 6 defenders or something on the pitch and we started with one striker who is totally dependent on others....and two lighting wingers who it seems were instructed not to exploit the flanks.

If we were going to try and go through the middle, then why play Holtby so deep?

Doing well in the table, but its not enjoyable to watch, and dont know how far we can go with no real identity.

Well we won.
thats-all-i-have-to-say-about-that.png

Delighted with the win obviously, but I fear it'll be a long season if we don't come up with a plan B against sides who put men behind the ball...

That Townsend injury was some scary shit when he was behind the hoardings for so long. Glad he was ok.

I don't want AVB out before you think this is what i'm trying to say but he really needs to change his formation 4-2-3-1 really isn't cutting it anymore, and instead of townsend we need lamela, Townsend is playing brilliantly but he's too greedy, too many random potshots that are going nowwhere, we need a complete formation turn around and too play Lamela and Eriksen, 41 million worth of talent should not be sat on the bench, our football is getting so boring, i'm sorry has to be said, i love AVB as much as the next yid, but he seriously needs some tactical and formational changes if we really want to start competing, can't keep relying on penalties to get 3 points at home against Hull

some on here will slate you for it Sammy, but you're right; it isn't pretty, it's not making the best of the talent we have. Ultimately AVB is getting enough points, but I do worry whether we can keep that up over the season.

Less cunty. Also sums up my feelings quite well.

Wouldn't have been too sad to see Hudd score the equaliser with the free-kick at the end - they deserved a draw.

Really not too happy about the way AVB has this team of star players performing - they seem to be nervy all the time, no real confident control and attacking play - lots of movement and passing where it's irrelevant.

But that penalty stat from last season was always going to even itself out in the long run - although a 4th "lucky" decision like that in the next game will get embarrassing (More likely, referees will start to psychologically not give us penalties after this)

Still, 3 points were important, arse have a difficult few matches coming up, and we have everton away next week so we needed to keep in touch at the top.

but most importantly... we kept up our ~1 goal per game ratio

A win is a win is a win. Take the three points whenever possible. Didn't play particularly well, but we got it done. I don't think Lennon fits into this system. I don't think vertonghen fits into this system at LB. I think in January both will be resolved.

Also, I hate Sammy more than anyone.
