One CB and we are looking at 3 new players in the 11, say Tapsoba, Maddison, Vicario. Addition of Udogie & Bissouma getting minutes and we are looking quite fresh compared to last season.

We've got our priorities in order. Penny pinching over a Championship kid with 8 senior appearances.

Theres no way Ange lasts 12 to 18 months if the results are bad. Unlike Mourinho or Conte, Ange simply doesnt have the resumé to give him the benefit of the doubt if shit goes downhill fast.

And yet, who else does Levy employ if he were to sacrifice another manager to the ENIC meatgrinder?

I'm actually coming around to Ange. He seems like a nice bloke, but I'll be surprised if he lasts until Christmas.

He'll not be backed with the players he needs and rather than Levy getting the sack, it will Ange.

Has to be a misprint. I think they mean €8 million. The only thing Levy would spend €80m on would be his own salary...

Spunking all of the Kane money on Muani, effectively investing £150 million in two summers in the same position on him and Richy… better hope they both set the world on fire. I get the need to replace with quality but considering our defensive situation I’d rather spend big there.

He will have at least 1 new CB by the time we play Brentford I'm sure but how close to that game that happens is anyone's guess. Frankly I can see why we wanted to move quickly on it but I'd rather we were wondering if the Maddison deal would get over the line in time at this stage rather than CB which was so glaringly the position that needed fixing the most, it feels like if you had £40m and probably damn near £200k a week to do that deal why the fuck didn't we get Tapsoba right then and there?

We were competing with Newcastle for Maddison's signature, had to get it done quick.
