The nearest lady in question was Joe Lewis' daughter, and Caulker was soon transferred out of the club.

It just gives off a sense of decay, of a group that have been here too long and run out of ideas and now just decended into farce. I'm not one to slag off everything they have done, there was some good in there upto a point (2016 ish) but the last 5 years has just been abysmal custodianship.

This bit pretty much nails it for me.

Dodgy owners who use their money for the success of the club? Or dodgy owners who use the club for the success of their bank balance.

I know which I'd prefer. I think you'd find it hard to find any City or Newcastle fan who would prefer Lewis / Levy / ENIC over their current owners. Or the owners of any other top half Premier League club for that matter.

This makes no sense. Not wanting a dictator or a middle ages monarchy running the club doesn't mean people are ok with one trophy in 23 years.

Everyone has their own moral thresholds, why lambast people who are uncomfortable with the idea that they don't want their club to be a sports washing vehicle for slavers and homophobes.

Somethings are more important than trophies.

Not sure who I lambasted in the post you quoted. But it does feel like you're using your own moral compass to somehow defend ENIC or any criminal wrong doings by Joe Lewis.

Personally, I would love it if the Saudis or Qataris took over our football club....And I have no doubt Lewis and Levy would take their arms off for the right price too!!

Like many of the outright hypocrites on here I watched and enjoyed pretty much every minute of last year's World cup

However, I'm not the one who's been trying to defend ENIC on here for years with all this utter bullshit about doing things the right way, etc....

A few people have been dismounted from their high horses this morning. Thankfully, I was never riding one in the first place.

At this point, I no longer care. Nobody praises a club for doing things the 'right way', all that is talked about is the trophies they have won.

But yeah, our dodgy owners are bad but at least they haven't killed anyone. That we know of anyway.

At this point we might as well fold the club, going nowhere very very slowly under this ENIC mob.
