He seemed fine to me.... Probably had a bit more zest about him when he first joined cos he'd just had a couple of months off work; whereas now he's deep into work-mode... Probably working double shifts atm too; what with coaching and being fairly hands on in terms of trfs etc.
He'll probably jazz up again once the season gets started.

If that team starts, my guess is that most will only play 45 mins.
Reason is that there is the mid week game v Barcelona, so he's going to need to use most of the squad he thinks he's going to use this season., and even a couple who went on tour who might yet be sold to free up a squad place for a new signing.
And he's going to want a fairly strong team involved in each game .....
Was thinking of changing my mind and going to this. Doesn't seem to be much left, unless you want the back of the high areas.

Pre-season media must be particularly arduous..... At least during the season; it's just part of the weekly cycle and there's actually games to respond to.
If I'm a manager in pre-season, the only place I'd want to be is on the training ground.
