Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Biggest regret is that we had the best player to ever grace a Spurs shirt for a decade, the all time England scorer and would be all time premier league scorer, and yet not once did we ever try to match his ambition and witness his full potential. Yes we signed a big name manager or two, all smoke and mirrors stuff, but when it came to it, we never had the balls to compete with his ambitions on the field.

Truly criminal stuff. Take care Harry Kane.

Perhaps.

But do you think the Bavarian brass(es) worship the ground Levy walks on?

And as we all know here, Levy has inserted himself into every single major transfer we've negotiated since ENIC took over the club.

Shall we ask Hoeness & co who they loathe the most, Zahavi or Levy?
They hate Zahavi a lot more, he's the one who facilitated the incredibly public and embarassing Lewandowski transfer to Barcelona.

I love him and dont want him to go. But, let’s be honest, he’s not been able to get us over the line in semis and finals in the way someone like Bale could do maybe that’s part of his thinking?
I don't remember Gareth Bale winning us a trophy either. He was on the books for the 2008 Carling Cup and scored in the 3rd round against Middlesbrough but he was out for the season from around October onwards - I think the 125th Anniversary match against Villa was his last performance that season.

With respect to you, I think your perception is way off. If you look at Elo ratings for example, you'll find that the AVERAGE of the Bundesliga is at the same level as LaLiga and the Serie A... in fact a few months ago it was ahead of both of them. One of the biggest reasons for this is that there are 18 clubs in the Bundesliga, so it's the best 18 clubs in Germany as opposed to the best 20 clubs in Italy and Spain.

The stadiums are sold out, and they're big, I think there's the highest average attendances in Europe.

The level in the Bundesliga is getting worse, that's right, but so is it in Spain and France. Tempted to say Italy as well but would first like to see whether last season was just a matter of lucky draws. It's clear that the Premier League is pulling away, helped in no small part by that mega TV deal.

As for Bayern not in the mix for winning the Champions League... like, seriously? Bookmaker odds currently place Bayern 2nd favourites, and those odds would not get any worse if Bayern indeed signs Kane. The only club who are bigger favourites are actually City, who have Haaland and (probably, because it's City after all) don't need Kane anymore. If Kane wants to win a CL title whilst being guaranteed a place in the XI is Bayern, and luckily for him Bayern wants him desperately. On top of that, he'll also be virtually guaranteed to win other trophies even if he fails to win the CL.

Yeah, fair point. I didn’t mean he won us our last trophy but he felt like he could change games in a way Harry couldn’t.

Love that Kane has appeared to be a consummate professional though - no striking to force his move. I’m still bitter about Bale.

If Kane isn't even sure if he wants to go to Bayern, then he really shouldn't.

He must get really bad advice. He signed a 6 year deal with us that he wanted out of half way through, and now might do the same thing again with Bayern.

Why would you consider signing up for something that you aren't even 100% committed to?

No one bids for a player unless they have been given the green light from the players agent (Charlie) that they want the move and they would already discussed what the wage and terms are going to offered.

Your sauce is tomato ketchup.
Literally, come off the phone to him - "Nothing changed - the feeling is the same".

Again, he has zero inside info and he's not saying he knows, but the feeling is he's staying, he's quite adamant about it. The source for this story is "in Germany". Could be true, could be he is staying and this is some saving face from Bayern, which might look like Bayern had an offer accepted and Kane said no. No one knows other than a tiny handful of people.

Also, there is a lag here - there absolutely was a feeling he was staying coming out of the club yesterday. Maybe that's just a spin deliberately put out to nudge Kane if it was needed. Maybe yesterday it was all tied up and he's off, or yesterday he said no. Or maybe it was just a coincidence.

But just like before, we will know ahead of the weekend.

their officials have been publicly saying he's agreed to go there for like a month. It will become official soon enough.

Sucks to be Levy next week home to united. Better he watch on from home

Gonna be a roller coaster of emotions kind of day
Not really. There’s only one emotion: Despair.

Don’t do it to yourselves with the whole will he won’t he thing. This transfer never would’ve gotten off the ground if he was looking to stay. This is all just re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

I will try to make my peace with it over the next year or so. Right now I’m so mad at Levy for wasting his prime that I can’t think straight. But he’s off. Don’t do it to yourselves.

Players do get second thoughts. Gerrard agreed with Chelsea but when the time came to actually commit, he couldn't do it.

Granted the Champions League he had just won certainly influenced his decision, but Kane will have other suitors in 12 months anyway.
