the cut backs was only ever going to come from the right today and kulu wasnt great. to be fair brentford were on them in no time to try and see them back, but still not good enough. all 3 in the front line could of done more.
im looking forward to gil coming back hes going to be perfect for this system as he will look to get the ball in the box and he will go direct when he can.
There are many systems that don’t require CFs to score 20+ goals to be successful. Ange’s system generates goals from multiple players. We had a CB and RB score goals today. We just need CFs to do their jobs well within Ange’s system.
The kid was surrounded by multiple defenders any time he sniffed the ball.
The only way he was going to score realistically was via a set piece or coming out to get the ball to score a worldie, the last of which is not what Ange demands of his CFs.
will get far more space saturday. be an interesting game to see how the system stands up to the better sides.
