Ex-Spurs Player Tanguy Ndombele

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If he was that impressive why didn’t they exercise their option?

Because he can’t be trusted to perform consistently that’s why.
They can't afford him.

They're already trying to flog Zieliński to the Saudi league.

There ya go. That wasn't so hard now, was it?

Ndombele started 8 Serie A matches, and came on as a sub in 22 others. Napoli won the league with a few matches to spare.

Ange only made 3 subs on Sunday, and one of those was unintentional.

Having some players on the bench worth subbing on might be useful.... It seems to be a problem we have regularly with our managers...

Skipp and Sarr are fairly limited, IMO.

LOL at this dumb shit.

LOL at another coach not thinking he's worth a damn. Why are you so intent on bigging up his being a substitute in a pedestrian league?

We already didn't bring on GLC, what use would we have for Tanguy?

And you can stop saying "Napoli won the league" as if its meant to mean anything to me. They'd have won the league without Tanguy. He was there as cheerleader/bench warmer and had no important role in that trophy win.

He’s due £20m over the next two years.
Just ‘sacking the cunt’ would mean paying it.
As a reference, Woolwich cut Ozil loose in January before his contract expired not with 2 full years left.
They owed him less than £7m and he agreed to forego part of what he was owed to go to Fenerbahce who paid him more than £2.5m to sign on i.e the signing team made him whole.
^ and despite this awful reality. Some consider this guy > :levylol: to be a good business man.

If only his Amazon filmed intervention with Tonneguy cut through.

If he is so bad as is to be suggested. Then a cancellation of his contract on non professional grounds seems reasonable. But I do accept that Mr Levy has other ideas.

I think he's just about gone through every type of manager, from absolute cunt, to tough love, to a more supportive one in Ange, none of it seems to have had any positive impact on him. Turkey would honestly be hist best bet, a league where he won't have to go through rigorous training, and can just coast by with his skill.

My guess is that termination of his contract for being late to a few training sessions isn’t going to pass legal muster nor is being shit at his job.

This isn’t at will employment.

If he had egregiously broken the terms of his contract, the club’s lawyers would be all over it.
He hasn’t and the club aren’t going to open a can of worms trying to prove he has. They would never be able to sign another player again.

No there's not.

There's not "so much more too it".

Whatever TF that means... Asshole....

Play him. Or don't. Or sell him.

Just shut the fuck up about it.

Is he good in training? Or not? Confusing narratives.

A good manager can find a use for Ndombele.

As Spaletti showed as he used him damn near every Serie A match (Ndombele didn't appear in their last 4 Serie A matches when they'd already clinched -- respectful to Spurs) as Napoli won the league for the first time in Ndombele's lifetime.

Maniacs.

Mainly a sub look at the minutes anyway and ooooh and yeeeees Napoli loved him so much they sent him back

N’Dombele’s failure doesn’t speak to Levy’s business acumen one wat or the other. He didn’t scout N’Dombele or push for him. It probably says more about Poch’s talent spotting ability.
All clubs have expensive failures and players that don’t pan out. I don’t think Kroenke’s business acumen is called into question by signing Nicholas Pepe. I’d say that bringing in the stadium over budget is far more damning.

Just some of the numbers on here are disgusting...

£200k a week
£2.5m signing on fee....

There are filthy, obscene amounts of money being wasted on lazy footballers... Why the fuck should WE care?

Levy didn't scout Ndombele, same as Kronke probably didn't spend ANY wet Tuesday nights in rural France scouting Pepe....

That's the SCOUTS job... The chairman PAYS the scouts... Rightly or wrongly, poor scouting and homework is on the scouts/Sporting directors etc....

We've fucked up plenty, but we've also found some gems

(Dele for £5m before he self destructed was seen as great business at the time!)

Yes, bar Eriksen, we wasted the Bale money, and we're all a little tentative to see whether the Kane money goes the same way...

But Levy EMPLOYS people to make those choices... it's not all on him.

Like wealth, Blame must be shared equally!
