"Daniel Levy has done a lot of things that have impacted this football club negatively, but not getting a striker in this week, after selling our greatest ever goal scorer, will be the worst. That can't be defended.!"
Fair comment but it ain't gonna happen mate. Even as one of Levy's most fierce critics, I'd say there's absolutely no way he doesn't invest most of that Kane fee in an adequate replacement before the end of this window.
It would amount to criminal negligence.
I, for one, am super excited to see who we actually bring in.

I think this is probably quite accurate.

Skipp's improvement, should it happen takes him to where Hjojberg is, would be ny opinion.

Not sure either are quite good enough if we want to be a top 4 team. Neither yet is Sarr but he may (only may) have a higher ceiling. Not sure yet.

We need one more in there and better than Skipp and Hjojberg with best respect to both, as they give what they have.
Sarr has been phenomenal so far this season, he could end up being better than Bissouma let alone Hojbjerg or Skipp. I think he's just a case of hasn't been given a proper go, and now he's a starter we are seeing exactly what he offers, and I very much like what I see. I think if United had a choice of Sarr or Hojbjerg at the same money they'd take Sarr every single day of the week.

September 2nd.....'Ange loves Dane Scarlett apparently, thinks he's ready'.

At the moment our forward group is:

An old Perisic
An ageing and past it Son
Richarlison; who couldn't hit a barn door at the moment
Kulusevski; who's just scored his first goal in 27 matches or something
Solomon; who hasn't yet been given a proper go and came in on a free
Gil; injured and who knows if he'll make the step up

That's a pretty mid set of players; I just can't see how you can spend £50m on Brennan Johnson when it's clear that we need some proper quality up there.
Even forest front 3 is better. We will need to replace peri and son soon plus rich if he does t step will have to be moved on at some point. Otherwise he’ll end up like all the other expensive dead wood. I’d say even 33 yr old Lorente was better than rich.

I think you are getting carried away, not literally of course!

No, I'm talking about many players who didn't get goals for us getting some.

I'll ask again, care to wager that we'll score the same or more than last season?
No one wants to have a bet with you, you freak.

If you've got a gambling addiction go take care of it some other way.

Put it this way, it's easy to see that a player of his age and experience could be caught like a deer in headlights starting at home vs United, but he handled it fantastically. He clearly has the chops to rise to the occasion of being a starter for us. I still think Bentancur displaces him when he's 100% but as a rotational option and someone to do damage from the bench right now he is absolutely a fantastic player for us. Just 20 years old with so much upside, genuinely believe if Caicedo is a £115m player Sarr will be a 9 figure midfielder in just a few short years. I could be wrong, I mostly am (lol) but I got a very good feeling about Sarr.

Son, Veliz, Richarlison, Gil, Kulusevski, Soloman

We seem to have plenty of options across the front 3.

If you're spending 50m+ on a player; you want to be getting the finished product - not a player with "potential".

Richy and Son will get plenty of goals this season. Thus far, Son has been crowded out whenever he has the ball - the opposition coaches know what a threat he is and double up on him. This in turn has created plenty of space for Udogie to make runs.
That's a good point. Udogie and Son are working with each other as opposed to Son and Perisic treading on each other's toes last term. And Son also goes walkabout when Perisic has come on as a sub and baffles the opposition.
