It's not a difficult call at all

The defender is looking at the ball and the player, he has absolutely no idea of what's happening with the keeper.

He absolutely, 1 million per cent, has to try and block it.

That's not true, the defender is often sideways on so can see more. Unless the defender can get a full block I suggest it's dangerous. An oustretched leg or foot and a glancing contact is asking for trouble.
It's happened twice with him, I've marked it.

Against Fulhum its his outstretched back leg, its clumsy, he flicks his foot backwards, it could go anywhere. It wasn't a shot on goal, it was a cross into the box with other defenders in there to deal with it behind him.

Sorry mate but that just isn't how defending works.

You have to try and block a shot at every single opportunity.

Jimenez grabbed his leg and pulled him down very late in the Fulham game. And he was visibly limping off when the final whistle was called.
Think his limp comes from the contact before that, came accross Jiminez with a strong chellange and a bit of a clash of knees. Doubt there's any injury tbh, just a clatter of legs you'll usually walk off in a few mins.
