He's done an incredible job signing players. Even "misses" like Emerson are still extremely usable.
Where he fucked it up was signing managers (he got Conte and Nuno, and was pro-Luis Enrique and Conceicao before Levy decided to go for Slot and Ange), and he has done terribly getting rid of deadwood.
Also getting Gabbianini as his #2 seems a very good decision as well.
The ban has essentially made him a chief scout, which is where he excelled at Juve as well (Marotta was doing most of the negotiations), so you could say that it was a blessing in disguise.
