No fan who genuinely wants real change at this football club said this nonsense.

In fact, this is bile that’s often trotted out by ENIC apologists and indeed ENIC themselves. Daniel Levy would love if all fans subscribed to this belief “oh we just want to get back to playing the Tottenham way” and real success plays second fiddle.

Opinions and Assholes etc etc
We all have them. And I know plenty of people who think I’m an asshole so C’est la vie.

Start of November we had a better squad than woolwich. The team who came 2nd last season and are currently top.
Less than a month later we are at joke levels of squad and levy has fucked us.

We were guaranteed CL football after 9 games.
Now we could easily be 9th or lower by the end of January. After 13 games.

Not my takes by the way. Just stuff I see on here.
And everyone is welcome to their opinion. It’s what make forums interesting. But there is a very wide range of expectations after just 13 League games.

Funny old game isn’t it.

Twisted mindsets are on show on both sides of this divide.

Last night, you posted we hadn’t replaced Kane (we did, with more than one player) and that we hadn’t used the funds to strengthen the squad, except for the positions we needed to strengthen, which we did.

I’m fine to accept you being vigorously Levy / ENIC Out and I can even see these odd bit of logic in the arguments for them selling up to someone else. But posts like yours last night aren’t logical, it’s just a complaint for complaining sake. One may suggest it was an example of a twisted mindset.

That's actually a good point.
Some were saying that we'd be bottom half, or even "relegation fodder" if/when Harry was sold.
Even when they've been so obviously proved wrong, they're still not happy.

What a conundrum for them.
Win games and be top 6, they can't blame Levy.
Lose games and be bottom half, they can blame Levy.

I wonder which makes them happier.🤷

Maybe this lot could do a study on it.

Emotional reactions to an emotional game. I’d be stunned if anyone on here thought we’d be fifth and only four points off top at this stage of the season when we kicked off in the summer. We’re exceeding expectations. Pretty sure things would be a lot different if we’d lost the first three matches of the season and then went on a winning run to get us to the position we are in.

Emotional or not, the lack of patience shown by some on here is astounding.

He says that he only gets involved at the end though.
So he most likely he wanted Brennan from the options he was given, not that he said go get me Brennan.
Same with VDV, he said VDV over Tapsoba, not go get VDV. If Levy had said you can have them both Ange would probably have taken that.

So you would rather sit through a season on Joseball and win a cup, bored out of your mind than watch this season unfold with no trophy at the end of it?

Who said we had a better squad than Woolwich?

Clearly we don't, and that's the major difference between the two clubs right now. When everyone is fit we aren't far off them. But they can absorb a few injuries. We cannot and are losing games now because we have zero available centre backs.

This is a multi billion dollar club who had to resort to playing Davies and Royal at CB at the weekend.

It's not acceptable, stop apologizing for it.

The Difference between us and the goons and the reason they've overtaken us again is that is that they go out and spend £100m on Rice and try and reach the next level, even if they fall short again that's ambition.

When we were in the ascendency when did we ever show that level of ambition?

I’m not digging through loads of posts on here but people were saying how they had fucked their transfer window and wasted their money.

Obviously your opinion to that is different. And I will try to remember that as an opinion but I’m not going to remember the date, time and exactly who said it.

Who’s apologising for anything? Me? What the fuck am I apologising for? Peoples opinions?

Exactly they fell short last time, but this time, they could put a serious title challenge in and win it.
We can't honestly say the same, this club won't win a league again, but we can live with that.

That's a fair point.
Obviously we don't know if we could have got Tapsoba.

On the reverse side, it's also Ange who sanctions transfers out of the club too.

i.e. Sanchez leaving us with only Dier as cover who Ange had already stated wasn't in his plans.

I completely agree with you on this mate, the kneejerking is fucking embarrassing imo.

We have OVER PERFORMED at the start of the season, which has made the last 3 games seem disastrous when in reality it is what we would have all expected after Conte.

Also, one could argue, our form would have likely continued if it were not for that Chelsea game and the injuries and suspensions.

People wonder why we are in a constant cycle of shit, they can't even back a good thing when they finally get it.

I have heard people saying "Ange shouldn't be at a club like Tottenham, we need a bigger manager" Yeah? How did that go with Conte and Mourinho?

Our best managers in recent history have been Jol, Redknapp, Judas and Ange...I think that speaks volumes and I think Ange is the best of the bunch personally.

But why can’t we play good football and win a few cups? You and I both know why.
What happens when this turns into another Pochettino Style project? Where we’re playing lovely football but we refuse to show the ambition to really push on and make the signings to give us a squad to go the extra mile, and all of a sudden 5 plus years have passed with Ange where we’re playing lovely football but we win naff all? Would you be happy with that?

What is genuinely making you believe that this latest stab in the dark ENIC project will prove any more successful that the Poch project? Or the Jose/Conte debacle? Or the AVB/Baldini project perhaps? Or Redknapp where again we played lovely football for a few seasons but again, when it came to pushing the boat out?

If ENIC were here for 5 years your point would be valid. But they’ve been here 23 YEARS mate. 23 barren years. I just fail to see where this patience and acceptance still is coming from from a section of Spurs fans.
