Not signing anyone of these clowns. Happy NewYear!

I so hate this criticism - as if doing so even makes someone a bad person. Not one person here is willingly giving up 30% of their salary. These guys (the ones that people complain about) are also staring down the end of their career well knowing that it's the last bit of gravy they're going to see and they've got to stash as much as possible so they don't have to be a working stiff. They signed a contract and have fulfilled their end of it. The clubs are well within their rights to buy that contract out and be done with the player.

Dier also just got married in June and his new wife is going to have a baby soon. His reluctance to unsettle his pregnant wife likely contributed to his insistence in staying to fight for his place. And, yeah, coming to terms with being a father for the first time, who on Earth would be thinking "yeah, now seems like a good time to start making less money...just so long as I get to run around the pitch every week!"

All of these players are real people off the pitch with lives, and families, and friends, and favorite restaurants, etc. And transfers disrupt all of that, sometimes monumentally. Yet people act as though packing up your family, switching your kids schools, and going to play in a far flung new city or even a foreign country where you don't know anyone is a piece of piss.
Good point. They've signed a contract which both parties need to uphold. The only players who need their heads wobbled are those who don't honour what the club has invested in them. Winston Bogarde was an early example although very funny because it was the Chavs. Tanguy also let us down BIG time whereas at least Dier, Hojbjerg et al give it their best despite their limitations at AngeBall.

They want us to lower the price and even after that option to buy as well, shows they are not serious, jokers.

TMW have now relayed the same information regarding Tottenham’s demands but they allege that it is not just the structure of the deal that is an issue for Juventus but also the transfer fee.

The report says Spurs’ £26m asking price is ‘too high’ for the Serie A club, who face a ‘uphill road’ in agreeing a deal for the Dane.

The outlet explains that Hojbjerg is keen on a ‘change of scenery’ and that Ange Postecoglou ‘could indeed give his blessing’ for the transfer.

However, the deal remains a ‘difficult’ mission for the Old Lady and might not be possible unless Spurs are willing to accept an option to buy rather than an obligation while also lowering their asking price.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do think Tottenham would relax their demands for Hojbjerg if they can get another midfielder through the door first. Conor Gallagher will likely be the player that the Lilywhites prioritise over the coming weeks.
Juve have a pretty shit squad with only a couple of potential swap options. And they’re second in Serie A.

I follow transfer rumours and links very, very closely but there are names on there I have never ever heard of.

Tottenham have a fight on their hands to keep hold of right-back Pedro Porro with high-flying Girona targeting a move for the Spaniard, Tottenham News has been told.

Since joining Spurs initially on loan from Sporting CP in January before a £39million permanent switch in the summer, Porro has quickly become a fan favourite at the club.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic start to his first full season in north London, nailing himself down as one of the first names on Ange Postecoglou’s teamsheet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, it seems the Lilywhites could have to fend off some interest for the right-back. A recruitment source with links to Spurs has told Tottenham News that he has been made aware that La Liga side Girona are interested in an unexpected swoop for Porro.

Girona have been the surprise package in Spain this season, currently sitting second in La Liga with Real Madrid on 45 points, behind only on goal difference, and seven points ahead of Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona.

Tottenham News has been told that the Catalonian club are looking to build a squad which can compete with the giants of Spanish football in the long term, and have identified Porro as the perfect player to fit into their project.

Porro previously played for Girona before joining Manchester City in August 2019, although his career at the Etihad never quite took off, and he eventually sealed a permanent transfer to Sporting Lisbon after an initial loan spell in Portugal.

Tottenham News has also learned that both Real Madrid and Barcelona could be set to rival Girona for Porro’s signature, with the Spanish giants both keeping an eye on the defender’s progress in the Premier League.

Porro could be tempted by a move back to his home country, despite his recent rise to prominence in the Premier League.
