I like and respect Dier for all of his years of service. But this was too funny not to share.

TBH, smacks of Zaha to me. Happy to be a handsomely paid big fish in a little pond. He had the opportunity to have leverage to get a transfer, either this window or next, and handed it in by signing a new longterm deal.corrected an obvious typo for you.
only issue is he's just signed a new long term contract and nobody knows if there is a release clause in it.
Palace have got a track record of slapping on the golden handcuffs. Contract was only extended to 2027 so I'd be surprised if there was a no release clause. Way more expensive than Gallagher now (not that I want him).He might be making £100k pw tops at Palace with his new contract, so zero need to double it.
And I'd expect him to have a release clause in his new contract (otherwise his agent has tied him to Palace for life) and no point in agreeing a big release clause as he's similarly stuck for life (he's 25 now)
On the books he is worth 9m. Surely someone is daft enough to take himTBH I don't think we will until his contract is up. Loans until it expires IMO, unless he plays out of his skin for a few months and some mug decides they'd rather swoop early, and get him cheap, than wait and gamble with other mugs.
Yeah that’s the issue.Epic it would be, but are we going to throw 40m their way in January.
If this was to happen, summer would be the time.

This is how quickly you can turn the direction of a club around when the Owner, Director, Scouting department and Manager are all working together..
Going, it’s gone. Bayern win 11 in a row.Would think RBL got the financial muscle to resist, though? They wanna overtake Bayern, so won't reinforce them unless got no choice eg player kicking up a major fuss etc.
Hope Bayer or Dortmund find a way to compete with them two doped clubs. Bundesliga going the way of the French league otherwise.

Man United of the 90s. The only big domestic club that sweep up all their rivals best players. They do have financial muscle, but at the end of the day, all german players want to end up at Bayern. That's a big reason why RBL are investing more and more into non-german players.
Why would a player be so altruistic? More often than not, good players available on low fees get larger signing bonuses on their new contracts. Conversely, any minimum buyout could provide a potential stumbling block. Perhaps City likes him, but not £50M, so he ends up at Spam who are the only club that meets his fee.Depends on the release clause - in his shoes I'd have insisted on say £50m or even £45m to 'stabilise' his value at his pre-contract value (contract had 18 months left when he signed new one) so as to say to Palace 'I'm not forcing you to sell now but you are not stopping me from leaving at a fair price - and you only paid < £20m for me, so £45m or so is a fair price'
I have always, ALWAYS said I will praise Daniel Levy and the powers that be when it is merited.I think it's time for an apology, once again you doubted the great man but as per usual, King Levy has pulled through yet again!![]()

Attended your online protests in your masses BUT you didn't BELIEVE
Trust in the man, the myth, the legend - Daniel Philip Levy!
Can we please have an apology to the great man, the man who is responsible for the club we are today, the man who is
