No I'm not blind and yes I can see the team is struggling.

It's down to Ange to sort it out - by routing out the players he doesn't want and bringing in the players he feels he needs to make a success at Spurs.

He's working with a squad assembled by the last four managers so it's hardly "his team" yet is it.

I can't believe people are that knee jerk that they think the solution to all our problems is sacking yet another manger, meaning we will have another 'transition season' and another wasted opportunity to build on something.

Nuno, Mourhino, Conte

How many managers do we have to go through?

And what's to say the next one will do any better in the same period?

5th in your first Premier League season with a squad assembled by four managers in five years?

Jesus, what a fucking tough crowd.

I’ve repeatedly said he needs another season. But I’m also not blind to what I’m seeing at the moment.

I was lucky enough to have an insight into the buy in Poch got from a relatively young squad in his second season, missed a chance to spend a day with them pre season training which I’ll always be gutted about.

At this point that is what Ange needs to create. That feeling they can take on the world. Right now you can see it’s not there. Well he is saying it’s not there.

So I hope he can do it.

From my point of view the lack of game time this season has probably been his biggest hindrance.
The people who didn’t want European football have seen the side effect of stop start football, getting no rhythm, just training and lack of actual game time.

Hopefully next season with more games, more players will be “match sharp” and he can blood some kids too.

Points on the board at the end of the season is what proves things.

Ange is in a very bad patch and needs to find a way out if it.

But sacking him and bringing in another 'marquee manager's is not the answer right now.

It's just shiny thing syndrome, because if it worked then the odds are that it would have worked by now after sacking Nuno, Mourhino, Conte.
It’s a very good point and a fair point HOWEVER I’m getting a horrible feeling that Ange isn’t that « shiny » . The bhoys loved hîm and anointed hîm . Possibly, just possibly he’d found his level . He’s sadly not in Kansas , nor the Greater Glasgow area nor a prefecture in Japan nor a soccer hothead micro - area of Melbourne Va ; anymore . As Alan Partridge once proclaimed « Welcome to the Big League « . AP actually managed , despite his best efforts, to save the hostages and dispatch the perpetrator to his demise off Cromer pier . I’ve just gpt
a horrible Ferling that BA ain’t gonna be able to pull the same stunt . Thus … Just Sack. ……

backing Ange means over-hauling the team & bringing in 6-8 players that can play his "system".
..highly unlikely. 500M quids for next window ?

I would back Ange if he get rid of this kamikazzee style of play when Romero is a striker and the strikers dont shoot at goals and all the FBs gets into the opp box and not defend Vicario.
F ck the Ange ball.
I gave you a thumbs up beacuse I like the general tone of your psot though I don't think we need to spend £500m. I reckon about half that amount.

That said, we need to get the bridge between youth and first team more active and it was good to see Moore on the bench today. Hopefully Scarlett or Veliz can step up next season with Moore getting some minutes.

If you can watch this latest shit show and honestly think he's still the best person for the job, then... yeah... you're a Cultist.

What impact is that? Seriously?

He had a great start and the wheels fell off at home against Chelsea. Barring the odd game here or there, we've been crap ever since that game. The only impact he's made is to show that just because you were able to tactically outmatch pub-sides like Aberdeen, Clydebank, and Dundee Utd, those same tactics don't translate into the Prem against competent coaches.

It's irrelevant how much he's learnt. He won't change anything. He only has only way of playing, he's inflexible and has no plan B. He'd rather cut his own leg off than be pragmatic and change the system. It'll be the same shit against Liverpool and we'll get fucking murdered, and you'll make more bullshit excuses for the manager like the Cultist you appear to be.
You must have a very short memory. We played some sensational football at the beginning of the season and we were a joy to watch. He united a divided fan base which had suffered years of crap football.

So fucking what if he only has one way of playing, I bet you weren't complaining at the beginning of the season. He's obviously not happy with how we are playing and we are miles off from what he wants.

We were great for a dozen games and then the rest of the league worked out how to effectively counter Ange's tactics. Our start to the season now appears to be nothing but a statistical anomaly. He can't adapt or change. He's doomed and we either allow a slow decline or do something constructive and try and fix that.

the set pieces are shit because theres too many pussys out there. footballers have played football for years, they dont need to be shown basics every time a manager comes in! its not fucking rocket science. we are shit at set pieces because too many of these soft cunts are actually scared to head the fucking ball!

where do you think the ball is going if you got son and johnson in the box??? they are going to target these cunts because they know they dont want it...

we start that game today with only 2 players out of 10 that youll see actually want to win a header and thats romero and richarlison. there lies your set piece problem. i think the rest will do it when its called apon (bar the tarts son and johnson) but none of them show the same desire to head the thing as rich and romero do.

2:28. sons nature is to bottle a dual and take the coward option of trying to get on the line, which actually gets in the way of PEH....having fucking cowards is going to hurt and that is a prime example. any normal player in sons position there challenges for the header and even if they dont win it they make it harder for jackson. PEH stops it anyway if son didnt go running back like a pussy. him having the armband was the first major fuckup from ange.

We were great for 10 games, had an injury crisis and now all our players are out of form. I don't believe it's as simple as teams have figured us out. Why don't teams figure City out? If you're good enough it doesn't even matter if the other teams know how you are going to play.

I'm not going to say I'm not a little concerned if he can pull off his style in the prem but I'm willing to wait and see. Fuck it what's the alternative, get a new manager in, everyone thinks we are going to win the league, start playing shit and call for his head again.

Exactly, look at holjbergs face he knows sons just ficked him and he doesn’t chew him out. I love son but he is not the captain we need.

your posts are mostly about how the players are pussies. Pussy this pussy that. Buncha pussies. Tarts and soft cunts.

I can't even begin to imagine how hard you must be.

Also, it's "pussies" not "pussys"

Imagine having a back four of Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, and Udogie and conceding goals every fucking game.
?

Porro - a converted RWB signed for a completely different system and manager.
Romero - fair enough.
VDV - a young CB who has only really had one season at the top level prior to this.
Udogie - a converted LWB that has rarely (if ever?) played in a conventional back 4 prior to this season?

Some of you are absolute cunts. Turning back on manager after 9 months, unbelievable.
Like we had it better before, seriously.
Arteta had 3 seasons of mediocrity.
Klopp had 3 seasons too.

Get over it crybabies. IT’S A PROCESS. I’m fuming too these couple of games, but calling manager to be sacked after one season where he lost our best player and goalscorer ever and still we are 5th. Still, no-one believed we’ll finish 5-6.
The issue with comparing Ange with Arteta and Klopp is that although they had underwhelming opening seasons, they were subsequently backed with serious investment and quality signings of the calibre that Ange is just not going to get at Spurs.

It’s a literal apples and oranges comparison.

arteta and klopp never sent their team out to die in a game the same way he did against chelsea. never seen anything like it. thats going to lose him some players belief and its understandable.

== from the sky ==

“Postecoglou, usually a figure of calm on the touchline, was absolutely incensed when Spurs gave that free-kick away,” Wright said in the first half.

“He’s still shaking his head as the game gets back under way. It’s the 13th set-piece goal Spurs have conceded this season in the Premier League.”

Only Nottingham Forest (26) and Sheffield United (23) have conceded more goals from set pieces (including penalties) than Tottenham (22) in the Premier League this season.

Postecoglou’s post-match press conference lasted just three minutes as he did his best to get in and get out.
= = =

another set-piece calamity.

why can;t the players organise themselves?? They are professionals who have plied the trade for years/decade

Arteta and Klopp had some absolute stinkers of games in their opening season(s).

But they were by and large given the opportunity to upgrade the below par players with much better players.

It’s just hard to see Ange being afforded the same opportunities.

having some stinker games isnt the same as football suicide which is what he gave us against chelsea. no coincidence its been a huge drop off since then. the midfield hasnt been the same since.

how you going to trust a manager that gets you to push up to the halfway line with 9 men? its insanity. complete misunderstanding of how football works. jackson scored a hatrick ffs!
