No I'm not blind and yes I can see the team is struggling.
It's down to Ange to sort it out - by routing out the players he doesn't want and bringing in the players he feels he needs to make a success at Spurs.
He's working with a squad assembled by the last four managers so it's hardly "his team" yet is it.
I can't believe people are that knee jerk that they think the solution to all our problems is sacking yet another manger, meaning we will have another 'transition season' and another wasted opportunity to build on something.
Nuno, Mourhino, Conte
How many managers do we have to go through?
And what's to say the next one will do any better in the same period?
5th in your first Premier League season with a squad assembled by four managers in five years?
Jesus, what a fucking tough crowd.
I’ve repeatedly said he needs another season. But I’m also not blind to what I’m seeing at the moment.
I was lucky enough to have an insight into the buy in Poch got from a relatively young squad in his second season, missed a chance to spend a day with them pre season training which I’ll always be gutted about.
At this point that is what Ange needs to create. That feeling they can take on the world. Right now you can see it’s not there. Well he is saying it’s not there.
So I hope he can do it.
From my point of view the lack of game time this season has probably been his biggest hindrance.
The people who didn’t want European football have seen the side effect of stop start football, getting no rhythm, just training and lack of actual game time.
Hopefully next season with more games, more players will be “match sharp” and he can blood some kids too.
