Yeah, this is true.

It’s nothing to do with melting or short termism. It is what it is. If we don’t take another point for the rest of the season, he’s got to go.

No manager gets to lose 7 on the bounce.
I think we'll get the 6 points.

But yes, if you can't put out a team from our squad that can grind out a win vs Burnley or Sheffield United to save your job, then you're probably gone.

This poll is actually an quite interesting take on social media. Presently 82% are showing they want him to stay another season.

But if you go by the loudest voices on this forum and social media you would swear it were the opposite.

The loudest voices on here want him to stay. The loudest one of all makes up around one third of all the posts in every related fucking thread....

Can I add another option please.

FUCK OFF WITH THESE STUPID POLLS

Here we have a manager trying to change the whole ethos of this club and get us to win something.
Christ, if I was Ange and read some of tbe crap on here, I'd fuck off to Japan or somewhere.
Stop this now.

Well Japan is his level.

I guarantee you Ange is gone within 6 months. I’m not calling him a fraud, he’s not. He’s a good manager at a certain level but the premier league is the fucking moon to him. He’s out of his depth and he knows it.

Let's see what the temperature is exactly on Ange.

Poll closing around the time of the Burnley match.

It goes without saying that:

1. the club need to back him with good signings this summer and
2. if the losing streak continues into the autumn and/or he totally loses the dressing room, then he'll be toast regardless.

Change the poll options so we can see who voted for what

If he somehow fail to get Europa he should be sacked. I know we projected to be 7th or 8th and we overachieved but..

We had top 4 in our pocket....since then 4 straight losses now, we might not even make it to Europa.....this is a major choke job...

I voted in. I think at worst Ange is a good manager to help us transition from low block, purely transition based football to being a possession oriented, high pressing team. That's what most of the fans want and that's what we should stick to because we require identity. Even if next season is more of the same it won't be a disaster because he will leave a stronger platform for the next guy.

Ultimately I don't think we take the next steps under Ange. I'm happy to be proven wrong but I just don't see anything in him that tells me he can compete with a Klopp or a Pep. I don't buy the narrative that success in Japan, Scotland and Australia prepares you for success here. The guy isn't an elite coach nor is he cutting edge, frankly I think some of the aspects he insists on are outdated compared to what is becoming popular now. Some of the recent games against a higher level of team have been properly fucking rubbish.

I'm decidedly in the keep him camp, but if we lose 2 out of 3 then surely that's him done (which is where Ive voted). We would have finished the season losing 6 of 7 matches, and having gone 3-1-7 in our last 11 matches.

It would have been as bad a string of results as we've had since ENIC arrived, and may well see us finish 6th. Just can't imagine anyone survives that sort of capitulation.

I said in for now but I still don't believe he is the man for us going forward tbh.

I see a lot of red flags in the way he speaks about football and how outdated his mindset is towards the game (dismissing set piece coaching is one of quite a few examples) and what I am seeing on the pitch (regression from players, poor tactical awareness and adjustments) and I genuinely think the PL is a step too far for him as a manager; however I am happy to be proven wrong and will give him that chance to prove me wrong.

That being said, if we lose every remaining game then I don't think he survives anyway and he certainly won't get the funds for a rebuild imo, maybe I am incorrect on this as well, who knows.

For now, I am Ange skeptic, jury is out but not Ange out...yet.

And considering his interview that came out today saying he took over a Spurs side that finished 8th but were in obvious decline where as now according to Ange we are on an upwards trajectory, ending the season losing 6 of 7 would contradict that opinion imo.
