I didn’t like Van Gaal much but also admire Ajax, the list of top players they have produced is ridiculous. Their all time 11 would be a match for anyone.
Super likeable team as well with teenagers like Seedorf and Kluivert (who scored the winner in the final). Litmanen a fantastic number '10'.
Van gaal imo was a pioneer. Went to a pre-season tournament at whl a few seasons before with ajax, chelsea and lazio. Do remember ajax under van gaal and they looked a good side in making. Tbh im glad van gaal rejected us to go to man utd as past his prime and glad we got poch. But van gaal for me is one of the greats.
