yes you did.

You said Ange will definitely change it because he has to (and you was refering to replacing Mason with a set piece coach or someone dedicated to set pieces).

I said I think he will improve or change the set pieces.

I don't remember saying he would hire a set piece coach. Tbh I don't care how he fixes the set pieces but his pattern at other clubs is that set pieces are poor in season 1 and improve after.

Not suggesting it happens for a second but...

Option 1
Isak
Eze
Gallagher
Geertruida
Murillo

Would that transfer window make us title contenders?

Option 2
Gyokeres
Doue
Gallagher
Doue 2
Murillo

What does that transfer window make next season look like?
Why Geertruida? At Feyenoord he plays as a RB or CB, but as a wingback like Porro. I prefer another wingback as back-up, otherwise Ange has to change his style of play. Geertruida is strong on the ball and passing. Strong point: possession of the ball to midfield.
As CB we've got Dragusin and Davies ( until we've got better back-up for LCB ).

Al your other options will be great.

So if Ange clearly wants him, and we ended up losing out to someone like Villa or Newcastle, that would be a little bit concerning wouldn't it?
And surely to fuck Spurs would be his preferred destination.

Lots of stuff I don't know there, though.

I don't know what price we value Gallagher at and what price point they like the alternative at...

or who the alternative is and how much Ange likes them as well.

Only think I'd feel pretty confident about is Gallagher fitting our system

He's a pressing, box to box #8 that covers every blade and wins the ball back high up the pitch. Chips in with goals and assists.
So pretty much an all round midfielder. He wouldn’t get the hate if he didn’t play for Chelsea. He would improve us as he’s an absolute dog at getting the ball back but for £50 million is not what we should be bidding. I think we could get him for £35/£40 million.

I can't see it being 50m because he has a year left. 35-40m is the range I agree.

Tonali was 70m to Newcastle though? I don't really know what is and isn't a 50m CM.

Think this link is interesting:

Could be lazy or it could actually make sense. I wouldn't be shocked if we weren't also looking at him.

I feel like we're going to get Gallagher and Toney. Levy just loves to drive a price down and in both cases there's plenty of scope for that. Often seems that's all he really cares about in a transfer.

I think they both improve the squad. If you got both for £80m combined it is hard to argue that that isnt our midfield and attack improved. Whether it is near enough is a different story entirely.

I would be keen on Toney as I think he offers us something different to Richy. Good hold up play, good passer, much better all round game than Richy. Would make a good pair of centre forwards

Good thing about the Gallagher situation is it has to be resolved one way or another by June 30th. Won’t drag on thankfully.

only seen him play a few times so not enough to judge but a CB that can play LB is exactly the type of CB we should be targetting (providing Romero stays).

We are not getting g a back up LB and RB so get a CB on that is comfortable on the left and focus on the back up rb (although activating the 6m clause on Cirkin should also be considered).

Yeah, links to the likes of Geertruida, Ito, Kelly etc all have made sense in terms of the profile we need for our defensive depth.

Geertruida often plays inverted FB for Feyenoord right? Great going forward but solid defensively.

Seems a perfect option that gives us even more depth at CB in case of another injury/suspension crisis and also means Porro doesn't have to play 80 games and burn out again.
