Should we buy from the Championship. I’m sure we could have beaten Brentford to Toney and Watkins. We could have beaten Leicester to Madison and Palace to Eze. We buy and we get Rodon and Spence. So much for our scouting back then.
Whoever we buy, we must get a few home grown players through the door. How many are good enough? Gibbs- White and Eze should therefore be high on our wish list.
We were heavily linked with Eze, Bowen and Watkins, i believe they were recommended by Pleat but certainly with Watkins baulked at the price. If you're looking now it would probably be Summerville and Gray.
Eze, Olise, Gallagher, Gray.
Neither Toney or Solanke improve us sufficiently, same for Gibbs-White imo so its a fairly small pool . Otherwise again you're looking at squad fodder such as Walker-Peters, Challobah, Hudson-Odoi, Edwards.

We put in a bid for Toney from Peterborough but at the time he would have played second fiddle to Kane. He went to Brentford because he could promise minutes. The problem is you have to be able to offer players opportunity.

Very underrated. Better numbers than Eze playing 8/10 and not injury prone. Smart and great technical skills
He's alright but not as good as a fit Maddison. Eze much more adaptable and better than Maddison if you want to play him as a 10. Should be about improving the 11.
MGW pretty adaptable as well. Able to play the B2B role so could play in CM with Maddison and tbh he's good enough to push Maddison for a start in the 10.
I'm a fan of Gibbs White as well tbh. In fact, i remember watching him play in a game against us years back at Molineux (think it was his debut?) and it was obvious then he would turn out to be a very good player.
Don't think he's better than Eze though although they're different type of players.
And to think, if they did sell him, they'd only be getting about 48m of that due to clauses owed to QPR.
We can probably afford God.
Mukiele can play RB, LB and CB. Lad has skills and attitude is top.
He wants away from PSG and would cost max 20 mil.
