Good thing is that with obviously improved recruitment, we have lower amount of players we need to shift comparing to previous years. Once Davies, LO Celso, Hojberg and Regi are either moved or their contracts are expired next Summer - I can think right now only about Gil, Spence and maybe Solomon that have longer deals and are obviously not needed. As long as we can keep that number below 5 players, I believe incomings should not be blocked in any way. Hopefully long gone are days when deadwood list consisted of 10+ players.I really hope I’m wrong but our inability to move on players is starting to feel very familiar , we all know that a failure to do so impacts incoming player deals under ENIC. One can argue all day whether it should or shouldn’t , but in reality it does imho
EDIT: I remain very pleased with Gray and Bergvall though
If you take this window in isolation you could argue that , however irrespective of market conditions we are very poor at shifting players historicallyIt’s not really our inability. The market is dead. Only a few PL teams have done anything of note. Arteta was going on the other day about how slow the market is and how they’ve had to adjust their plans.
If so there will surely be a few clubs nicked next season when these deals are properly scrutinised.Wouldn't be surprised if Villa pay an inflated fee for him in return for Chavksi paying an inflated fee for Duran.
A fairly good job
I dunno are they broke or just intentionally insulting us?
