Not seen enough of Gyokeres but everyone who has shares your opinion.

What you saying on Solanke?
I like him. Was last season a one off or is he just coming into his peak? He has great attributes though,he’s big and strong, decent touch, quick, good in the air and can obviously finish so what’s not to like??
Some players just can’t cut it at bigger clubs and I don’t know if he’s one of them. I remember Sigurdsson coming to Tottenham and I thought we were getting a star because he was class with his previous club but it just never happened. He just seemed to struggle with being at a bigger club but you thought he’d thrive.

Going back to the striker situation,Gyokeres has been my number one all summer and I mentioned him last season in the Kane thread about bringing him in. The money is the money so if he’s what we want then just go get him. To be honest though and he’s more than just an out and out number 9 and would give us different options in our play.

Dominic Solanke?

Fucking LOL. He's shit, he's had one good season in his entire career. The fact that we're even contemplating replacing Harry Kane with Solanke should send alarm bells ringing at our complete lack of ambition. He's bang average.

I'd be happy with either. They can both score, and they are both good target men. Son is absolutely not that, he gets knocked off the ball very easily. Not good with his back to goal. I thought that last season Richie was becoming that player after a good game at OT but he never showed it again.
Preference for Solanke. No baggage. AFCB played more like us last season, Brentford hit on the break. 19 PL goals in 38 is very good going. Don't think it's a flash in the pan, for once he had a good manager.

Yeah I agree with all of that. Need the CF to help out defensively on corners too. Both are good headers of the ball.

Fans: Our scouting is outdated, we need to be like Brighton and Brentford.

Spurs: Ok let's revamp our scouting department to have a data led approach.

Fans: Nah actually we want "ambition" why can't we sign Osimhen?
We also have a brand spanking new stadium said to change the way we operate in the market if the best is solanke then what was the point this is sort of signing we would of made in 2002.

This was in relation to just getting two in.

I can only assume the wording here is misconstrued. And that we need more in (back up GK, LB, CB, CM, LW, RW, ST) but it can't all be done in one window.

Still expecting two more signings atleast.

He also said:

That he is not getting emotional about the situation because he believes that the transfer overhaul at the club is bigger than many people perhaps thought.

Which we all know. Likes of Skipp, Forster, Solomon etc all need to go but maybe won't find new homes this summer

People acting like Solanke is some mediocre CF who had an hit streak of form last seasons are proper clueless. He’s just a victim of being in the spotlight playing regular PL mins from an early age so the “failed wonderkid” reputation has stuck even tho he’s only 26 - Same age as Gyrokes btw, and 2 years younger than Toney and Watkins.

I find it very impressive that when given the minutes, he works to improve each time. That’s always a good sign. He definitely an all round upgrade on Richarlison.
