Match The New Harry Kane team vs. The Old Harry Kane team: Bayern Münich v Tottenham Hotspur, Saturday, 3rd August. High Noon!

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Oh look it's you again.

Yeh based on your comments in the match thread it seems like you were handling today's performance like a really mature well rounded adult. Definitely weren't telling people to fuck off over completely minor disagreements or anything...

Of course if you were honest with yourself you'd admit you're as obsessed with Spurs as the rest of us, and just like the rest of us watching us play like crap makes you want to chuck the remote at the TV. But you're low IQ and have no self awareness so that sort of introspection is beyond you, so you'd rather just come on here and let your anger out by being a cunt to everyone.

Whatever. Another bellend onto ignore.
Fuck me mate, chill out.

It was a pre season friendly - relax.

I know it's pre - season and all that but , it's a little worrying that without a couple of high class signings , we do seem a little bit short for the season ahead .

The deficiencies we had at the end of last season are still very much apparent

Please explain the glass half full part of finishing 9th for the last 27 games of the season? - behind Bournemouth.

I wasn't responding to one line.

You're isolating one morsel of a 4/5 paragraph post that portrays a doom synopsis(***)........ One that made no effort to provide balance in terms of the encouraging aspects of our pre-season (I've already made a list above of such so won't re-post them).

(***A synopsis that echos that from another poster which you challenged the forum to dispute.)

................A synopsis that starts off saying "I don’t think there has been an over reaction to pre season results" which is obv BS in terms of those taking issue with the result in this thread.

5 - 1 W
2 - 0 W
3 - 2 W
4 - 3 W
1 - 2 L

(A large portion of which were played with loads of kids and 2nd string players.... Including today.)

................There's nothing there results-wise to get even mildly angry about. Certainly not a loss by one goal in a training match with Bayern. Yet we have bell-ends complaining about a "completely weekend ruined" and saying crap about not supporting the club anymore.

At worst there's pro's and con's across last year and this pre-season which ought to to come into play within an assessment; but yours and the one or two you sought to defend made no effort provide that balance.

It's odd that people are baffled to be called out for such selective and extreme over-reaction.

THIS.

It’s not overreacting over pre season. Fuck pre season. But you look at today and the squad in general and what the fuck has changed? Why are we going to step up? And not some emotional bullshit about how amazing and magical Ange is.

Bergvall looks extremely talented but he’s a kid still. Gray could contribute but again, a fucking child. These guys aren’t pushing us up a level next season.

Ultimately you can’t realistically look at the current team and go ‘oh yeah we really learned from last season and improved, gonna really step it up!’.

You really have zero understanding of what preseason is about, don't you?

The whole purpose is to push the players as hard as you can, to condition them ready for the season ahead. After that, it's recovery and tactical.

The more hard work they do now, the less they need to do when the season starts.

Yeah as things stands we are probably going backwards.

Yes there should be some uplift because it's "Ange's second season" but we were trending downwards in the second half of last season so not sure that holds much weight.

Two weeks until PL kick off and we haven't addressed a single area of critical need.

I understand the existence of the "if you stand still you've gone backwards" idea; but if the pack around you aren't making moves then how have we gone backwards.

(Didn't bother to list peripheral stuff.)

Liverpool
In: None
Out: Adrian, Thiago & Matip
Man City
In: Savinho (20 yr old backup backup winger.)
Out: None.
Arse
In: Calafiori
Out: Smith Rowe, Elneny
Villa
= Fuck-tonne of ins and outs and don't really look any stronger for it (Onana <> Luiz).
Chavs
= Fuck-tonne of ins and outs and don't really look any stronger for it.
Man U
In: Yoro, Zirkee
Out: Varanne, Greenwood, VDBeak, Martial
NuCastle
In: Kelly, Vlachodimos (30 y/o Backup keeper)
Out: Anderson, Minteh (Only mentioned them cos they clocked 70m euro between the two).

In the whole list there are like two players you'd think are expected to be upgrades to the first XI.

If we do no other business I'll be pissed; but right now there ain't really any "backwards" going on.

Savinho helped Girona get their first CL qualification in La Liga, how does he not have big league experience?

I think we are expecting too much of our young players because of that brilliant Spanish lad in the Euros. Think what age Kane was when he became the great player he ended up being

Last season was statistically the worst run of losses we have ever had at Spurs during the PL era.
So you've now moved the goal posts (pun intended).

You originally stated, as a fact

'the new season with essentially the same players that had one of the worst run of forms the football club has ever seen at the end of last season.'

I repeat my previous request, show me these statistics you keep referring to?
