Why?

We've spent about 110m and will make about 70m in sales and have taken a massive chunk off the wage bill.

There is no excuse for not bringing in more.
Just over 2 weeks to go and little info suggesting any further incomings. Ange said Look, we'll see, there's still time in the window and I think there'll still be some activity. That does not inspire much happening other than outgoings and as I suggested last minute loans if available.

It’s really simple.

If we don’t get a proper 1v1 threat for the wings and a rotation at LB, this club is straight lying to the fanbase about wanting to win.
Pal, we were miles off the best teams last season and so far we've brought in two teens, a RB Leipzig reject and Solanke.

Unless we sign the new Paolo Maldini and a regen of Luis Figo, we already know the score.

Manuel Locatelli 🤔

Such a random link at this point in the window. Must have been offered to us or something

How good a DM is he?

I was reading up on this from a report 4 weeks ago, where they're considering selling him to finance buying Koopmeiners.

Don't really know too much about him TBH, so don't know if it's an interesting link or a FFS link.
Definition of average. Nothing special in the slightest. I was proven wrong on Bentancur and I'm glad about it, but I genuinely don't see anything special about Locatelli. Even at Sassuolo he failed to impress me.

He used to be very good, especially at Sassuolo, where he ran the show. Done okay at Juve but really hasn't moved mountains and gone of the boil them past few months. Not making the Italy squad more than 30 odd times when the Squadra Azzura has been underwhelming for years (despite that fluke 2020 win), that tells its own story.

Feels like another poor man's Pirlo but then again, not an easy feat to fill those shoes. Personally, I think he'd struggle in the PL. Don't have the physicality nor the pace. But perhaps his quick brains and vision would save him? Just hope he gets back to his best if he stays in Serie A cause he's a smooth operator when on song. Seen some interviews and sounds a nice, humble lad too.

fogueres fogueres cosa ne pensi, fratello?
