I get the whole “ good “ , “ really good” part of your post; but fundamentally we weren’t “ good” enough to beat Leicester.

And other teams IMO ; will be .

That’s why we’ll end up “ missing out”. Again.

It’s a great point about committing defenders.

Son can do it but doesn’t, Brennan just needs to knock it past and go but doesn’t.

Biss is always such a miss because he goes by people when he’s on it.

Bergvall instantly made us better because he went past people.

Ignore the haters. We’re at the start of a 25 year project. Clear to me once every other team in the league is banned for financial malpractice and we’re the only ones left in it we’ll get that trophy the fan base craves.
 
Immediate needs are someone who can dictate play/connect/create from the right half space, mirroring what Maddison does on the left, plus two starting wingers who put the fear of god in the opponents. If we don't get them we're just wasting our time and this attempted style of play will always be sub-optimal.

I would argue the immediate need is for the manager to figure out how to not concede goals like we are playing Sunday league football and have a system that isn't so naive every team in the league will exploit it.
 
I'm more worried about the mentality.

We're dominating the game but when we concede a goal we completely capitulate.

He needs to fix that.
