One success of this Transfer Window is the increase in players 'Trained at Other Clubs affiliated to The FA and Football Association of Wales '

We need to have 4 or more players atm (given we are short of Club Trained players) but currently have 7 (Maddison, Johnson, Forster, Davies, Gray, Spence, Solanke) - and even assuming Forster and Davies leave in June 2025 when their contracts expire, we will not be under pressure to sign more 'HG' players.

Of course we still have the 'Club Trained player' shortage - currently just our 3rd GK Austin rather than the minimum 4 we need under UEFA rules, however if we can use Lankshear, Devine and Moore this season as List B players they can overcome the numerical shortage of CY players we have now ....... and hopefully become CT when aged 21 if still considered good enough, with Donley perhaps joining that list next season,

Hopefully Solomon off - I suspect a loan but who knows.

A loan should allow him playing time to show what he can do and earn himself a permanent move somewhere, doubt if he's good enough to stay at Spurs

Unlucky last season to be injured all the time - both for the player and Spurs who were a squad player down (in addition to Sessegnon) !

I won't update OP until its a little more certain knowing Solomon's injury record

As things stand now :

UEFA squad
To fit with UEFA squad rules I think we have to drop Forster, using Austin as 2nd GK and Whiteman (Club trained) or Gunter (List B) as 3rd GK to give us a squad size of 23 players plus List B youngsters.
Youngsters classed as List B

GK -Vicario/Austin/Whiteman or Gunter
RB - Porro/ Spence (also LB)
CB - Romero/Van De Venn/ Dragusin/Gray (also DM & RB)
LB - Udogie/Davies (also LCB)
CM1 - Bissouma/ Devine
CM2 - Bentancur/Sarr
CM3 - Maddison/Bergvall
RW - Kulusevski/Johnson/ Moore
LW - Son/Werner(loan), Odobert
CF – Solanke/Richarlison/ Lankshear

Analysis under UEFA definitions :

Club Trained (1 or 2)
Austin (3rd GK) plus Whiteman or Gunter (List B)

Trained at Other Clubs affiliated to The FA and FAW (7)

Maddison, Johnson, Forster, Davies, Gray, Spence, Solanke

Overseas Trained (15)
Vicario, Romero, Van de Ven, Dragusin, Porro, Bissouma, Bentancur, Bergvall, Richarlison, Son, Kulusevski, Werner (loan), Udogie, Sarr, Odobert

PL Squad
- Bergvall, Gray and Odobert are classed as u21's, so additional to players under PL squad rules
- This means we can include Forster (a more experienced GK) in the squad
- We could include Reguilon and Lo Celso or alternatively any other two over 21 players (eh new players) in the squad.

Otherwise, all the players in uefa squad could be in PL squad.

Here is the UEFA squad. Maximum non CT squad is 21. Including Reg, we currently have 23.
He won't be registered, of course, so one more non-CT player needs to be left off the EL list.

In theory Robson, who is over 21, could be included as a CT player.

Leave out Reguilon and Forster. We don’t need 4 senior keepers.

The only player I can see Ange excluding from uefa squad is Forster - so Austin is 2nd GK, Whiteman (CT) or Gunter (List B) is 3rd gk - plus of course Reguilon who will be excluded.

That then gives you a squad with 21 players plus Club trained or List B players giving us a total squad of 22 or 23 plus List B players.

EL (UEFA) has a maximum of 15 matches I think.

For PL and domestic cups (circa 50 matches), no need to drop Forster as Gray, Bergvall and Odobert can be classified as u21's and in addition to a 25 man squad.

I assume Europa League deadline is the same? 24:00 Tuesday 3 September?

Seems a sensible assumption.

Although PL and most other windows will have closed by then (I think Netherlands close on 2nd September, today) some others will still be open eg Galatasaray being in Turkey, their window closes around 18 September, so I guess they will be signing players for last couple of weeks of window who cannot play in europe until window re-opens in January but can play in Turkish league !

A last opportunity for Reguilon perhaps !
