If they're blocking the keeper, you block the runs of those taking advantage. They showed last night that Gabriel is the one benefitting most, so block his run at the far post, or any other player making that run. If they don't arrive, they don't score.

They looked like they were unprepared for it. Like I said earlier, we dealt with their set pieces better. That's how bad City were in handling them.

God I hate those S***heads from south London. They must be one of the most boring teams in the world to watch now. Play 4 CBs every week and hoof it up to Saka and Martinelli. Then rely on the Set Pieces. They deserve to be called Boring Boring Woolwich again.

I agree. I was just making the point that this is how I would deal with the ploy, if the referee isn't going to enforce the laws correctly.

They can block the goalkeeper at every corner, but the ploy is useless if you stop their player(s) from exploiting it.

My theory for some time was that some of his subs are sort of pre arranged and the player to be subbed off is instructed to get on the floor and stay there for as long as possible. Does that sound too tin foil? Have a feeling I've seen it so many times in their games and the same player is completely fine to start next game.
Agreed on top of all the blatant time wasting, I think they pre-arrange for players to go down when they're under the cosh and then get to have a tactical huddle on the sideline which is bollocks to try and sort things out. Can't really do it with the keeper but would love for players to have spend at least 2/3 minutes off the pitch in scenarios like this.

Then why weren't they more ready for it?

City looked utterly ill prepared for their set pieces. I think even we looked better organised than they did. It was almost like Guardiola didnt watch our game a week before. The scum played exactly the same as they did yesterday.
We were actually very well set up to defend the corner they scored from, (I only logged in here yesterday since the NLD as I thought it best avoid the usual lunatics in here, so I bet the corner has been done to death with Romero taking all the blame accused by people that have never defended a corner in their life no doubt too) BUT very quickly I want to note that the failure to defend their corner was the fault of Benancur and Solonke who were their marking zonally, the zone in which the ball was aimed at for Gabriel to run into, BOTH of them got under the ball and didn't clear it. (It's almost impossible to man-mark a running into the box on corners as you are always reacting and therefore always never positioned correctly).

As you say City were really bad shape, they tried to do a similar thing to us half the team zonal the other half man mark (I think the man marking is for our bigger guys to man mark their big guys??) but City's zonal players are nowhere to be seen because they get sucked into the back post runners of the scum, it left a huge hole at the back post on the goal line. Our zonal players remained in their zones, they just fucked up the clearance.

Haaland just gets it. He can see right through that odious club and their arrogant prick of a manager.
He put on an absolute masterclass of cage-rattling and piss boiling yesterday, showing the cunts absolutely zero respect.

Top, top man.

Stealing from fans.

Literally stealing time from the people who pay huge sums to watch the sport.
Should be fairly straightforward to stamp out, you take over 15/20 seconds to restart a couple of times and it's a yellow.

Your team is leading or drawing and players start going down with "cramp" then they should have to spend at least 2 minutes off the pitch so they can properly "recover" from their terrible cramp.
