Couldn’t we just try and see what this club could be without Levy and ENIC?
We could make it difficult for them to hang around and wait for an overpriced offer for the club. Put real pressure on them and they might start looking at realistic offers if they come in and they will if there’s heat and publicity on them.

Dont think it’s going to happen though. Our fans aren’t militant enough. ENIC have cultivated a cuckolded fan base that are happy to muddle along pay the highest prices and lay blame at manager after manager. When are we ever going to really look deeper. We really do have the shiny penny syndrome, they must really laugh at us behind the scenes I guess. I suppose we’re getting what we deserve In a a way.

Conte was Right. The losing mentality permeating throughout our football club was once again laid bare for all to see.

If the owners ain't motivated by winning, why would the players be.

"For over 20 years there is this owner, they win nothing.... why"

Levy / ENIC. 25 years is long enough. TOO long...Time to sell up, fuck off, and let someone else have a go
This is it. That’s what it all boils down too in the end. Just a culture of not doing enough. Kane said it when he left. It wasn’t a big deal to lose at Tottenham. The only way you change that culture is through a change of ownership

Customers, not fans.

Every time the players don't turn up it's enic fault :)

this thread generally gets bumped when we lose because the loss is a reminder of why we are in an endless cycle of just making up the numbers.
we earn all this money, and charge fans crazy prices but instead of pushing the boat out to challenge we come back with a bunch of unready kids and timo werner on loan.
what manager can win under these conditions? Answer is they 100 percent can not, i don't care how young and hip they are.
The club is set up to achieve 4th place. it's why Conte snapped .
And after every defeat thus just frustrates everyone that we're stuck with these owners for the foreseeable

And it's just so damned obvious. For the life of me I just can’t get my head around why so many of our supporters still fail to see it!
If they'd only been here 5 or 6 years fair enough. You could argue this takes time....
But a quarter of a century for fuck sake. And these cunts have actually installed and embedded this culture within our very fabric.
It's just so frustrating seeing the same people always sticking up for them. Why do they do it?

That's a great post, but I don't think 4th place is even a priority now. Levy has secured so many lucrative non football related events he doesn't need the heightened pressure and expectation that comes with CL football.
In the club's own words...we're merely the Anchor Tennants. Nothing more, nothing less.

Still watch all our games but I gave up my season ticket years ago. Clocked it around the Redknapp era when we built a really good team from the scraps of the poor Ramos team and they failed to really go for it and cheaped out on additions even when qualified for the CL. Every time we build momentum since as a team they sit on their hands. They either fail to see sporting opportunity or they don’t care about that side of the club. That attitude has taken hold of the whole club.

Honestly don’t think a good percentage of those fans are genuine for one reason or another but they seem quite successful at quelling any decent with the rest with a constant defence of anything they do. Quite bizarre really

Childish post. Who's been the only constant through 25 years of coming up short and embarrassments like yesterday?
Tottenham are no adverse to fuck up results like these over the years …….it’s in our DNA unfortunately but yesterday was down to the players you can’t play the way they did first half then collapse 2nd half sorry that’s down to them individually and as a team .

10000000000000000000000000000000%.

And the manager for taking too long to react.

It completely makes a mockery of anything that talks of wanting to succeed or of being successful.

Always with us, it feels that when the going gets tough,we go missing.

This was Brighton FFS

He's just going to say "who signed the players? Who hired the manager?"

Probably not wrong. We've been nearly men for over a decade. In that time we've lost just about every big match I can remember. Every time we've had the bit in our proverbial mouths, we've spit it out.

Leicester have won 3 trophies in the time ENIC have won 1. I'm not one to waste my energy hating on them, and I'm not sure I'd trade places with Leicester, but that's a pretty damning statement.

Leicester may have won 3 trophies, but what have Rotherham and Barnsley won? There’s alway alternative viewpoints for context

Brighton who had lots of injuries. Hadn’t won a home game in an age and generally found their level drawing with Ipswich and Forest and last point are coached by a man 27 years younger than Ange.

Losing at Brighton can happen, to be absolutely dicked there twice inside 9 months is not good. To roll over like they did second half is surrender levels, which teams rarely recover from. Example a) Hoddle. Example b) ABV.

Well Man City were in the 2nd tier when ENIC bought Spurs, and now they're the most successful club in the world over the past 5+ years.

:porrohands:

The point was just that a lesser club with much greater financial restrictions than even ENIC place on turnover:spending has managed to win several trophies over ENIC's tenure. So even aside from the whinging about spending, they've been beaten to the punch by a club that somehow manages to instill belief in the squad that they can fight and win big matches in big moments...meanwhile we just always seem to come up short.

Whether it's an important cup match, a final, or just a big league match which gives us an opportunity to climb into/cling onto the race...we serially spit the bit. Across a half dozen managers and completely different squads. The habitual coming up short is in the air at Tottenham the past decade.
