More chance of winning Europa than a domestic comp TBH

But we never looked like scoring that many. We created f all in 2nd half.Common sense and proffesionlism tells you at 2 zip up at half time away from home in the toughest league in the world is you take the win not go out and try to win 5 or 6 because your ethos is that off p.t fucking barnum wanting to be the greatest showman....fuckoff .
I think the fanbase at large is so determined to see this work hence the in ange we trust .Thing is i dont understand is the thinking its this style of football or back to Nuno, Mourinho and Conte bore fests. There is a chasm between Ange, Ardiles, Bielsa football and boring everyone to death. We mostly played great attacking football under Redknapp and Poch (until the last few months) . Those of us old enough were lucky to watch Burkinshaws 80s team who combined great football with trophies. More recently in the prem managers like Klopp played attacking, winning football but all those mentioned never neglected the defensive side and all knew you cant just win matches one way. Sometimes you have to switch to game management or just grind out a result on occasions.
You cant just keep losing games, 8 from 14 in the league now and just carry on, business as usual. I know we're all willing it to turn but at some point you just realise this is it. We have 4 very winnable games after the break and i think we need minimum 10 pts to show there may be some consistancy and possible progress.
I wasn't particularly talking about Brighton, or positionings as such. I am talking about the general trend with us under Ange across a large sample size. Teams find it too easy to score against us.
I saw yesterday that Ange has more defeats in his last 14 league games than Juande Ramos did in his last 14 ( 8 to 7). Ange has more points as we dont tend to draw many whereas a load of Ramos were draws but still, not great is it. Just underlines we're too easy to beat and have issues away from home and against top half sides in general.I think the fanbase at large is so determined to see this work hence the in ange we trust .
But as you say how long do you give it"hoping" it's going to turn/work.
Those defeats are stacking up, and the manner of it on Sunday was unforgivable, amateur hour from everyone.
Club is now a mid table team we just need to accept it.
I don’t see that. You win 4 games in the domestics and you are in the final . In the league cup you are even facing b sides. How many games is it to the final of the europa ?
Sunday’s collapse had absolutely nothing to do with AngeBall! No Ange-Ball wasn't found out in Scotland because
* the competition is low - not competitive
* & Celtic had quality players
but ANgeball for celtic failed big time playing Euro ties.
Angeball conversations in Japan & Aust. shouldnt be carried over to EPL. Let's forget about the last.
Just watch this season - are we still squad-rebuilding??
Angeball - never liked it -entertainment or not. Give me solid steady football any day over kamikazee crazy football
I still don’t get his comments about making g subs. Can anyone explain what he means. It’s more cryptic that
cantonna and seagulls![]()
I think he’s implying the loss was to do with the poor performance and attitude team wide, that he believes a few subs wouldn’t have addressed. No doubt there’s a degree of surliness to his answer because he’s clearly pissed.I still don’t get his comments about making g subs. Can anyone explain what he means. It’s more cryptic that

No your right too exposed and got at easily.I saw yesterday that Ange has more defeats in his last 14 league games than Juande Ramos did in his last 14 ( 8 to 7). And we bottled the Newcastle game, bottled the Leicester game, bottled the Brighton game and didn't turn up for the NLD.
It's statistically our WORST start to a league campaign for SIXTEEN YEARS......and the stats don't lie, mate, however you try and dress it up.
The schedule looks favorable for awhile. Spurs may even go on a streak after the break. Then people will flip the switch back from "over his head" to "genius". The games that really tell you how a team is going long-term are the ones against the better teams.Thing is i dont understand is the thinking its this style of football or back to Nuno, Mourinho and Conte bore fests. There is a chasm between Ange, Ardiles, Bielsa football and boring everyone to death. We mostly played great attacking football under Redknapp and Poch (until the last few months) . Do not feed the trolls!
Sometimes he appears to say things just to run counter to what people are saying.I would have agreed with all of that & given the benefit of any doubt until that second half, followed by that interview.
It was beyond shit effort and performance & the manager can’t come out afterwards and defend not making substitutes earlier when it was clear the wheel had come off plan A. It’s his bloody job to change things when it’s not working.
Whether that’s shutting up shop, tweaking the tactics &/or making early substitutes, that’s squarely on his shoulders.
What he came out with made no sense at all. It was genuinely babble.
I don’t see that. You win 4 games in the domestics and you are in the final . In the league cup you are even facing b sides. How many games is it to the final of the europa ?
we won’t even get to the quarterfinals of the europa, but with a bit of luck we could get the final of a domestic cup
If theres no more big changes in the football, tactics and / or personnel I agree, its not sustainable.I think he is looking for fairytale football, it isn't happening but he will continue trying and, those results like Brighton will continue to happen.
It's all too chaotic, we have gone from ultra defensive to, you go forwards and shoot or score and then it's our turn it's not sustainable.
Ange should talk to Sir Alex to get a heads up with subs changing a game….I think he was trying to make the point that if the team isn't locked in and competing, the subs won't matter. Personally, I found this a bit odd as I thought the reason you introduce subs, aside from injuries, is to make tactical changes or shake up the energy and change the flow when your side is under the cosh.
Champions league final vs week 7 game against brighton.Ange should talk to Sir Alex to get a heads up with subs changing a game….
1999 Champs League Final Utd won off the back of his two subs goal v Bayern ,Sheringham and Solskjaer ,
A coach worth his salt takes no better pleasure than winning a game due to the introduction of a substitution when game is getting away from them…..its called earning your corn.
