But we never looked like scoring that many. We created f all in 2nd half.
I think the fanbase at large is so determined to see this work hence the in ange we trust .
But as you say how long do you give it"hoping" it's going to turn/work.
Those defeats are stacking up, and the manner of it on Sunday was unforgivable, amateur hour from everyone.
Club is now a mid table team we just need to accept it.
Im not sure all teams do.... we haven't conceded a vast amount more goals than most other teams in the league except Liverpool.
Same as City, the same as Chelsea, less than most.
I do think we have been defensively poor at times this season - but for me, the individual mistakes and players not doing their jobs properly is not naive - it certainly is on the manager to sort out but I personally don't think it is a naivety problem
I saw yesterday that Ange has more defeats in his last 14 league games than Juande Ramos did in his last 14 ( 8 to 7). Ange has more points as we dont tend to draw many whereas a load of Ramos were draws but still, not great is it. Just underlines we're too easy to beat and have issues away from home and against top half sides in general.
The focus from ange and or the club is attacking exciting football.
We all like that, but personally I prefer winning football, something more balanced in both attack and defence.
Let's not focus on possession or touches in the opposition box, let's focus on goals scored and keeping them out.
If we had more balnce I think we would be fine, but right now it's all or nothing and mainly we are seeing nothing.

I don’t see that. You win 4 games in the domestics and you are in the final . In the league cup you are even facing b sides. How many games is it to the final of the europa ?
we won’t even get to the quarterfinals of the europa, but with a bit of luck we could get the final of a domestic cup

I think he was trying to make the point that if the team isn't locked in and competing, the subs won't matter. Personally, I found this a bit odd as I thought the reason you introduce subs, aside from injuries, is to make tactical changes or shake up the energy and change the flow when your side is under the cosh.
I think he’s implying the loss was to do with the poor performance and attitude team wide, that he believes a few subs wouldn’t have addressed. Personally I think he should have made the substitutions far earlier, but the players are most culpable.
No your right too exposed and got at easily.
One ball through or over generally clears out the back line for the other team to be through on goal.
I just don't see him changing anything, he seems convinced he can dominate or outscore the other team it's fantasy football.
In amongst all of this talk of philosophies and the strict adherence to attacking football, can anyone name any serious teams who play the way this team is set up to play?
I mean the playing out from the back at nearly all costs, 2 CBs on the halfway line as a default standard no matter the score with the FB's high up the pitch to boot, players being encouraged to bomb forward even with a lead to protect etc.

The schedule looks favorable for awhile. Spurs may even go on a streak after the break. Then people will flip the switch back from "over his head" to "genius". The games that really tell you how a team is going long-term are the ones against the better teams.

Sometimes he appears to say things just to run counter to what people are saying.
Rangers have been to two Europa League finals in recent years and thats with Champions League teams dropping in. Their last final, they lost on pens to Frankfurt. I'd fancy us in the final against either of those two over who we would likely get in a domestic cup final.
We have to play City (their B team is arguably better than our A team) to get to next round of League.
Give me anyone in the Europa League over Liverpool, Scum, City or Chelsea.
I do see your point that we always seem to bottle it in Europa League but can say that about every comp we are in.
If theres no more big changes in the football, tactics and / or personnel I agree, its not sustainable.
In fairness as others have rightly pointed out it wasn't high line kamikaze football that lost us the game on Sunday - it was shambolic individual errors and organisation. Plenty of numbers back on the goals and not a single player doing what they are supposed to. Not all the managers fault on this occasion but he will earn his money getting them sorted out for West Ham after it.
Ange should talk to Sir Alex to get a heads up with subs changing a game….
