I watched back the game this morning (was at the game yesterday). Fucking hell!!! Just listen to this utter bollox from the commentator!!! Also, Sky putting up stats at halftime about us conceding from corners, but distorting those stats by including last year's stats!!!!! Why the fuck would they do that?

Sky are sensationalist media, they feed off narrative and talking points, it's part of what keeps viewers engaged because they profit from viewership and social media engagement.
So they will spew lazy take upon lazy take because that talking point is currently driving the narrative they want to push out, no-one wants to hear about how Spurs have only conceded 2 goals from corners this season and how much we've improved from set pieces because it doesn't suit fit the agenda, I get it...what I don't get is why our own fans are so quick to parrot the same thing.
I understand why fans would parrot it, because if they are hearing this from the commentators and the pundits at halftime, why wouldn't they believe the information being discussed? Not everyone, in fact, I think those of us on here most of the time discussing Spurs almost on a daily basis and therefore engage in the minutia are the minority of fans.
It's just basic terrible punditry/commentary.

I'm not biased against Vicario - if anything, I'm quite the opposite - I'd have loved it if he'd turned out to be the goalie I hoped he would be.

We do have an issue with corners though, just not defensively. We are generating a huge number of corners and apart from some really nice inventions on short corners, we aren't very good at attacking from ours. I would like to see us stand on oppo goal 'keepers, because aside from the supposed focus this season PGMOL said they would do, this lasted about 5 games in and has now clearly subsided and Ref's (and VAR) are now doing as they did last season and allowing blatant obstruction again.
You can bet your house on one thing - if we start impeding goalies at corners, refs will suddenly start to remember the obstruction rule.

What you WILL see is how good he is at all the other stuff. And no, he doesn't continually put his teammates in the shit. If you DID watch our games this season, you'd see he's made a marked improvement there.
He'll be our GK for years to come - deal with it.

Vic will have one bad game where he makes mistakes and because that’s what’s most recent in their mind they think it happens more often than it does.
Or they don’t really focus on the goalkeeper unless he does something wrong and think he does it all the time.
Vicario was clearly obstructed and pushed. Refs blows for far less contract in the favour of the goal-keeper than that.
