Hey! Let me clarify on this as an Istanbulite Gala fanYes. This could be it. Very nice of you to post Wikipedia links too.
Galatasaray might very well have been a fortress or stronghold of Galatians that Turks conquered and incorporated as part of their domain. So that they've given their own word saray to the old Galatian stronghold and thereby making it their own. That is very much the history of the whole modern world. Big and hugely numerous national groups, backed by religion, conquering and incorporating others. And Turks in particular were famous for that in that part of the world. They've done that same thing to many, many other cities and fortresses so that this should not strike anyone as a big surprise.
Turks were in fact most successful under their Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent who ventured as far as Vienna to the west but stopped, failed short of it. Hurrem Sultan was his wife and she was known as the one pulling all of the strings when it came to domestic affairs that she happened to find herself concerned with. And, indeed, the domestic matters that happened to come under the purview of her concern grew a whole, whole lot during her reign. She was the force to be reckoned with behind Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.

Ange as the ex Celtic manager will be playing a very strong side against Rangers - I can assure you of thatFixtures in December getting very crowded already. Need to win this so can go with full backups against Rangers.

Cheers for the insight, fella. One interesting thing about Galatasaray is that their goalkeeper is their captain. Fernando Muslera. He is very experienced at 38 years old.
