How come you didn't post all of this after we beat Man Utd, villa or Wet Spam - he used the same tactics against them?

I see why you chose your pseudonym now, you got that bit right
Do I really need to explain to you why you wouldn't be questioning a manager immediately after a win? Are we never allowed to criticise a manager if they've ever won a game they could have potentially lost? Mourinho fucking destroyed United 6-1 at Old Trafford in his time here, guess that means he was a resounding success and deserved none of the criticism he got at the end of his tenure as a result? Conte got that 3-0 home win against Woolwich so guess we should all just forget about that massive capitulation at home to Southampton?
If you don't have a decent counter-point, just say so, don't make a ridiculous strawman argument to try and discredit what I'm saying...

Tbh i thought werner did well when he come on. Took on players and was dangerous.

Was in South East corner so well placed to see him when he came on. He's very difficult to defend against as he can cross well with both feet. Every time he took on the RB he seemed to get a cross in.

His right footed ones dip dangerously at the far post. With left foot they go to near post. Strikers need to be on that wavelength.

Had one chance with a shot, skied it. I think it bobbled as he was about to hit it.

Didn't he have a second one which made the keeper tip it over for a corner too?

Either way, we were much more dangerous when Werner came on.

You are crying out to sack a man because you - YOU, think he is useless.
I simply asked why you weren't on here trumpeting the paucity of his tactics and ineptitude of his man management on the games we win - did he change them?

If you don't understand what a strawman argument is - then I suggest you don't accuse people (who weren't using the tactic) of doing it.

A straw man fallacy (sometimes written as strawman) is the informal fallacy of refuting an argument different from the one actually under discussion, while not recognizing or acknowledging the distinction. One who engages in this fallacy is said to be "attacking a straw man".
You're discrediting my criticism of Ange's tactical acumen by attacking the fact that I haven't posted said criticism after games we've won. This is an entirely different argument than the one under discussion, designed to obfuscate from the point of said original argument, thus satisfying the terms of a strawman fallacy.

but if you want to continue posting pseudo-intellectual bullshit to make yourself feel bigger, be my guest, it doesn't make you look any wiser or more insightful, just pompous and unwilling to actually engage in a meaningful discussion.

Really was not our day. The deflection off Dragusin was unlucky. The disallowed handball would have gone in anyway. Being 2 down meant that when we did score the opposition were still ahead and carried on fighting. We must sort out this giving a goal start in every match. Shame it is MC away next.
No need for overreaction. Nothing like being overrun like last Thursday when we were not good enough.
Love the optimism 😀
Being 2 down at home to a team with no wins whereas we have had a manager now for 18 months, spent a shit load and yet still cannot deliver either consistency or instill any sort of fight and professionalism into the team.

I hate to say it but from the top down we just have a losers mentality at the club!
If we win the stadium makes a few million profit per game , if we lose the stadium makes a few million profit per game, as long as we stay in the PL then the business side of the club is successful!
So fucking frustrated with this club , just when it looks like we have turned a corner there is a palace or Ipswich result to remind us who we are!
We are literally the laughing stock of the PL and when we have players like Maddison posing with Ed Sheeran before a big game it says it all!
Still “we go again”
Not one fucking leader on the pitch and a manager looking clueless on how to change things , fucking disgraceful
Don’t know much about that but a) what is MADDs meant to do say no and b) he was t starting, hasn’t started a few PL games and only got 10 minutes here. If anyone thinks we are a better team without needs heads examining. They’d probably say hoddle would fit our team as well. With my eyes I can tell he is a far more skillful and technical player than kulu who mainly tries to run with the ball and either stops to che k back as has no pace or bumbles into a couple players and loses the ball. His crossing is shite as well generally.

Risk appointment again by a bloke clueless how to run a club football wise.
Didn’t he have Munn appointed to help out even though he had not officially started. It’s strange as March / April 23 Ange was no where near the reckoning. Not even his biggest fans here mentioned him. All of a sudden we get Ange. Has Munns finger prints all over it. Levy is a dick but he’s appointed someone with a title head of football operations who seems to get off Scott free. What is his responsibilities and ownership of the football side?

Sick of this team now.

No blame on the manager, it’s the players attitude. They think they can just turn up and win. I’m done with them now.
You must be joking! How many games have we seen this type of performance under Ange. Yet he does nothing to address it either in game or for next game. We play basically the same 11 regardless. His subs are predictable and 8/10 never change course of a game. Yday we actually were worse 2nd half if you take into account the first half was shocking and had HT to resolve it.

I didn't say you couldn't google it - just that it wasn't what I did. I didn't refute your argument - I just pointed out that when we won games, I don't see you coming on here shitting Ange as a manager or tactician.
Saying you didn't do something does not equal me attacking you for something you didn't say, ie. - that I am accusing you of having said (the straw man.)

It's a subtlety that seems to be lost on you.

We played better fast attacking football as well and could defend. None of this stupid inverted FBs and wide players who can’t beat a matchstick man. Also we normally scored first. Remember chavs and manure at Wembley.

Really was not our day.
They could have scored in the first minute (obvious that they'd try to get an early goal)
Then again in the 2nd min from the resulting corner
Hit the bar in the 10th from - another corner (!!!!).

By the time they were 2-0 up we'd had one chance saved, Solanke low at the near post.

Not our day my arse

Let's say we'd scrambled a couple of those chances at 2-1 and won 3-2. Are we going to go all happy clappy? Or think - we really are mutton dressed up as lamb right now?

We've lost 8 pts to teams in the relegation zone. Out of 9.

Not our day. Last 30 matches we're low to mid table - how many "DAYS" have we fucking had?

My opinion on this is that it is a question of motivation too. There is a psychological side. As others have written, Tottenham lost the last few games before the FIFA date. Overall, I don't think we have bad players. But they don't have a sense of urgency, that desire to win a game. A winning mentality. That's why this inconsistency - we have some good results, and when there is the possibility of starting a positive sequence, everything is lost...
