Grown beyond spurs?

Come on bro, be real.

Spurs didn't start the Premier league, spurs didn't start the insane money in TV rights, spurs didn't start paying the kinds of astronomical wages.

I'm not staying that is a good thing. ENIC got into football to be part of what football was already becoming, its not their ideology.
To be clear I'm not saying that Levy or ENIC invented the commercial rot in football. They didn't.

But I WOULD say that Levy has always been and remains a tireless innovator in bringing foreign ideas about how to make ownership profits larger and less sensitive to on-pitch results over to England. That's THE theme of his entire career. That stuff also gets brought in whole hog when American hedge fund types buy clubs, but there is no British person who has done more to make Premier League clubs feel and behave like NFL franchises than Daniel Levy, he is the foremost domestic figure of that worldview.

And that worldview is anti-sports and fucking sucks, and we should want it nowhere near the club no matter how many goals are scored at the day's match.

That’s a bit like naming who came second during the last 10 seasons in leagues & cups

No one remembers 👍
100%. Just pointing out there are data points which can be arranged to paint ENIC as generally successful who've narrowly missed producing the most successful era in club history, while building an incredible stadium in a period of incredible financial disparity.

Not that I believe it, but Levy likely does.

Anything that calls out Levy and embarrasses the bald cunt for the way he runs the club is a WIN.

Unless you’re happy ranking dead last in the league for wage to turnover ratio - even before the huge reduction in the wage bill this summer. DEAD LAST.

Its why we rarely get established players - usually pay big fees for potential with low wages like BJohnson or Solanke never an Osimhen - and if another Big 6 comes like Chavs for Neto this summer we’re done cause we won’t pay the wages - even tho our revenue is higher than Chavs. It’s why we’ll never win the league even tho we have the league’s 4th highest turnover. It’s pathetic.

I think majority of us has, given up on seeing this club a success.
Ange won't bring it nor will Enic, club needs to be sold ASAP.
The biggest game changing signing we could make in the near future is, Staveley and her entourage.
The lift this club would get once bought out would be immense, different owners who would loosen the strings a bit and a proper plan is what this club needs.

He's a billionaire - you don't think these people live off the liquid cash in their bank account, do you? They live on credit fronted them using their shares as collateral. Joe Lewis is nearly completely illiquid (which is why he can't jack money into Spurs) - but lives like a fucking king on his yacht.

Normal people really just do not understand how the finances of the rich work. They're nothing like you and I.

He only gets richer the longer he stays.
He absolutely wasn’t super wealthy like Lewis though, define billionaire? His only real mega asset is the stake in Spurs.

Our wage bill has reduced since then and rev has increased - no club in the top seven divisions in England will have a ratio as low as us. Clubs like Dorking and Halifax are more ambitious on that metric

You'll be at the protest before the Liverpool game?

This this and more of this.

Then mix it with the chart for money invested by the owner themselves.

Everything ENIC take out of the club is from the hard working fans that buy tickers and buy kits from the club shop.

In exchange they make no effort to win and overprice the club so nobody else can come in and actually try to win. Levy is likely financially dependant on the 3m bonus he pays himself out of fans money every year.

He absolutely wasn’t super wealthy like Lewis though, define billionaire? His only real mega asset is the stake in Spurs.
Lewis' wealth is predominately Spurs, as well. He does have other holdings, of course. Levy has a significant chunck of ENIC outside of THFC, as well.

Neither of them are "super-wealthy" by PL club owner standards. Both of them are super-wealthy by normal people standards.

If you value Spurs at £3B or more, then Levy's stake in Spurs alone makes him a billionaire. He 100% doesn't watch his account for his pay cheque to clear.

Capitalism isn't like a casino, where your chips aren't "real" value until you take them to the window and cash in. In capitalism, banks are happy to front you money using shares as collateral. This is why not taxing "unrealized gains" on stocks is such a crock of shit. That concept is egregiously flawed, and the reason why billionaires happily duck most all tax burden.

Lewis is a figure of comparable wealth to a Boehly or a Tom Werner, to be clear.

There are richer (and of course the two limitless nation states), but Lewis isn't personally outgunned by any stretch.

It would be consistent with the trends in the industry for ENIC to look to sell some minority control to deepen their pockets though, as is constantly rumored. A lot of the ownership groups in the league look like that now.

The incredibly rich PL owner no one talks about (because he doesn't really run the club like it) is Shahid Khan at Fulham btw.

Well, I'm not sure it's amazing, however...

Take Back Tottenham Hotspur: Levy Out! Glory Over GreedTottenham Hotspur is more than just a football club – it’s a legacy, a passion, and a way of life for us fans.

But under the ownership of Daniel Levy and ENIC, our beloved Spurs have been reduced to a profit-driven enterprise, prioritizing money over glory and the heart of the game.

This video is a call to action for every Spurs fan who believes in reclaiming our club from those who don’t share our love for its history, values, and future.

Together, we can make a difference.

Join the movement to bring Tottenham back to the fans, where it truly belongs.

I half expected to see the narrator in a Guy Fawkes mask pointing a gun at a bagged Levy Junior at the end of that vid.

I do agree with much of this.

I don't think he's uninterested in on field success, I just don't think he has the ability or willingness to take the risks required because, and as much as we laugh at the phrase, is wary we would "do a Leeds".

It's why I do think it's time to sell up, but why I think he won't and nor will anyone come in for us. The pig has been fattened too much.
Bit late to this.

I agree by and large. But also I'd just like to point out that it isn't even Levy's choice to sell or not. He's a minority owner in the wider entity that owns us that has been tasked with running our day to day operations. The choice to sell will still lie with Joe/Joe's trust. And I also suspect that it is Joe that kneecaps how much we invest to some degree. Because I can totally see Levy be bothered by the fact that we are a running joke among the big six. But Lewis 100% does not care at all as long as we keep making him money.

The point I am rambingly trying to make is that it isn't Levy's call to sell up (as far as I can tell). But he could still 100% step away from the chairmanship and become another minority owner.

Shahid doesn't even run Fulham as far as I know. He put his son Tony in charge when he bought the club. But Tony's attention has 100% drifted away once his dad gave him money to start a pro wrestling company. Which is his passion project.
