It happened because Porro was 2 v 1 as fucking usual because Johnson can’t be bothered to sprint back again to help out his fullback. The amount of goals we concede and he contributes to via his laziness is unbelievable.

It’s why he won’t be here under another manager. They won’t stand for it. Rashford is doing similar at Man U.

Agree! Johnson imo is what I call a footballing coward. Wait! All you BJ lovers, I'm not attacking the boy personally, I'm sure he is a wonderful human being who is good to him mum. this is just my opinion of him as a football player. He is a coward on the pitch, always looking for the easy option and his work rate stinks!
Johnson's purchase is just another example of how clueless AP is at this level.

Not that I know much about tactics, but even I can see that the players seem to be incapable of playing Ange's system successfully. I'm also concerned that he doesn't seem to actually run the training sessions, but leaves it to the coaches. Either they're incompetent or they can see what is wrong, but Ange won't listen to them. Who knows?

What I find worrying in his interviews when he fully admits that our play “isn’t good enough “ is that he doesn’t seem to know what to do to rectify the glaring problems of our play!

No Plan B and Plan A was sussed out after ten games or so last season!

The longer he stays the worse our position becomes and more players like Cuti, Mickey, Ben etc will get injured playing our kamikaze football!

The latest on the club app was that Micky felt a tightness in his hamstring and went off as a precaution rather than him being out and out hurt again.

But still. Not ideal and may be best to rest him against Rangers and not gamble if we can.

He makes the first team for one reason only - he's scored 20% of our Premier League goals this season - and he's scored 4 cup competition goals too. Postecoglou's naive system demands as many goals as possible.

Ange isn’t silly enough to criticize management the way Conte did, and that alone might buy him some time. But management seems to agree that we are in a phase where a turnaround must occur fairly soon.

Look at their leaked statements about giving him their full support, because they believe ‘results can turn around quickly’ (sic)

Those sorts of statements seem to set up a scenario where he’s being backed for now, but a turnaround before too long is required, and the question of whether to continue with Ange has already been discussed at the highest levels for this answer to be given. Perhaps may indicate opinions are divided.

I was thinking about this earlier. Is it not at all possible that players are just following orders?
Like, we assume Porro and Udogie are narrow, leaving acres of space in the FB area for opponents to exploit. It's why the far post is always exposed because there's never a FB there.
Maybe Johnson has been told where to operate and he stays there.

I don't blame the players for carrying out what they are being taught on the training grounds. The watchword is "be brave". If that leaves Spurs vulnerable that's not on them.
