Just fuck off.

If you think keeping this div in charge is right, you simply ain't a fan.

I'd literally rather have no manager at this point and see how it goes rather than persist with this utter fraud.
You are being toxic. Surely sacking him with no plan and throwing Mason in as head coach for a few months is an even worse scenario? Players like Kulusevski would 100% ask to leave in the Summer if that happens

Son is an elite player, and one of the best in the prem. But of course, he is getting older and no longer has Kane to partner with.

We have a number of players that would be productive squad players in a 'top team'. Kulu, Romero, Porro, but they aren't good enough to lead an elite team.

I can't help but feel that letting Holberg go for pittance was a mistake. He was a leader and a warrior.
Someone asked a couple of weeks back who from our first choice 11 STARTS for The other top sides. The general consensus was that our entire first 11 are probably all good squad options for them but it’s debatable whether any would actually start.

Therein lies the real problem.

Most here hated Hoijberg. Letting him go wasn’t the issue, replacing him with kids is. FWIW I’d have kept him.

Ah, it seems we’ve finally found some common ground, Shady—what a rarity! 😂.

You’re absolutely right, Ange is fortunate to still be in the job; in fact, many managers have been shown the door for far less. That’s exactly why he shouldn’t be allowed to continue just because of the ‘commitment bias.’ He’s had enough time, and results (or lack thereof) are the ultimate decider, like you say.

As for Mason, I don’t believe anyone is seriously calling for him to take the reins long-term—let’s not kid ourselves. The idea of him coming in is more about removing Ange before he does more damage to the club; there is zero downside to doing so. Mason likely will not do any better or any worse, it’s just about not rewarding incompetence and paying Ange an absurd amount of money for being mediocre and sending us backwards.

It’s not about romanticising the idea of ‘Mason as saviour,’ but simply a temporary solution until we have a replacement.

However, I’d argue that, a qualified replacement should be actively lined up before sacking him; and also, the club shouldn’t be dragging its heels until the summer to avoid the ‘optics’ of sacking yet another manager.

As a final thought, If the players are genuinely ‘behind’ Ange, as you say, then why are the performances so abject?

Players being emotionally supportive of a manager is nice in theory, but in practice, it’s meaningless if they aren’t producing results. At some point, we have to accept that the issue isn’t just effort or buy-in—it’s tactics, game management, and organisation, all of which have been lacking for months, so in that regard, I don’t think Mason being in would make much difference, it would just serve to remove Ange who doesn’t deserve to be employed at this football club and rewarded for mediocrity.

This scenario isn't likely until the end of the season, that's my point.

A temp solution of Mason isn't better than a FT solution of Ange - we're much better off with letting the guy work it out and waiting to see where he is and where we are come the end of the season as opposed to jumping now.

Spot on Hojbjerg should have gone sooner it was replacing him with a development player that was the issue.

We won 5 on the spin before throwing away the 2 goal lead against Brighton away. Thats when we had nearly a full squad available. Injuries have killed us and its been impossible to get any momentum going without all 3 of Vicario, Romero and VDV since the 4-0 City win
Come off it. 1 league cup last ditch winner against Coventry and 2 euro games against nobodys. The league games were against a shit Man U and Brentford who can’t win away.

You really do have a very high opinion of yourself. Always quick to hand out insults but when push comes to shove you run away and hide. It’s fine though mate. Everyone on here has you sussed out.

lol a man said sussed out 😆

I'll never not find it funny that people get over emotional over some text on a screen by some complete stranger.

The internet is real life we can't forget that!!

Wait for him to work it out. Yeah ok let’s do that. And do know where we will be when he’s still trying to work it out in may? About 5 points above the drop zone is my guess

Mate, you've made your point we've been over this I don't care for your opinion just like you don't care for mine lmao, just enjoy the match

Ange's win % :

South Melbourne 53.13
Australia U20 67.65
Panachaiki 48.48
Whittlesea Zebras 12.50
Brisbane Roar 50.00
Melbourne Victory 46.88
Australia 44.90
Yokohama F. Marinos 49.07
Celtic 73.45
Tottenham 50.00

Of course he picked up trophies along the way but I was shocked to discover yesterday that we are doing exactly as you'd expect on a win %. Just the same as the legendary stints at Brisbane Roar and Yokohama that grew here to the rank of myths.
And by the way let's not get fooled with 'he took at team that finished 8th and made them champions'- I watched enough Polish league to know in the sub par level you can create a championship winning team in one transfer window. It just happens all the time.
